On the plus side, Ron Ron has been having his way with the Mavs tonight.

Yao is the leading scorer and rebounder for the Rockets. He was the biggest difference overall...although Artest was obviously big also

Rockets looking good. Ron is a killer. The Mavs do not have one and that's why they'll be one and done this year.

I wonder if this play by Ron Artest thus far is the "new environment" type deal or if he can continue this up all season.

One could argue it's been Artest that has been kinda carrying the team thus far.

Yao's getting a few more minutes than I care to see. It's alright now, but it may not be later. This is where a Mutombo may be missed if we try the Hayes at the 5 thing for an extended period. Hayes has disrupted a few shots down low this game, though, and he's been fairly versatile defensively.

I'm loving the trust Adelman has in this line-up to end the game. Reward the guys who got us this far!

Keeping Mac on the bench, letting Brooks (barley played last year, just off injury) run the show, and keeping both Scola and Landry on the bench could be seen as questionable, but it makes perfect sense.

You know this team is deep when you can do that.

Also, this should be good for the guys' confidence.

btw, what does that mean exactly? On the flip side, you could also say that Ron Ron is lacking brain cells lol.

anyway, there is A LOT of season left. I wouldnt go predicting the final western conference standings after the first game.

I think that we can all agree that from what we saw tonight, the Rox are definitely going to the finals. Anyone with good basketball knowledge could see that. The Rox are 2-0 already.
