Iverson a system player??? LOL I've done heard it all today, snow was the PG becuz iverson was the to guy, been that way since 96, he is a scorer putting him at PG is like telling mike vick he can't run! Now in the present he will be use as a pg for DET but I'm sure stucky will get starter mins switching AI to the 2...only reason AI gets bashed is becuz he is a sg in a pg's body so people expect him to play like a PG, only difference from wade, Kobe, bron, tmac is his size!!!

Yes, that's what True Shooting Percentage is about -- 3PT makes are worth 1.5 times what a 2PT make is, so taking a 3PT attempt if you're a decent shooter is more efficient by definition. If you're Andre Miller, it's not more efficient, but there's a very low threshold in terms of 3PT% where they become more efficient. Of course when you consider the long rebounds, fastbreak points etc. that result from ill-timed 3PT attempts, that effect might be killed a bit, but all things being equal, a long mid-range shot like the ones Melo takes are the absolute worst shots you can take.

Mo Williams and Anthony Carter (surprisingly) are among the league leaders in 2PT jump shot %, but in both cases, they'd technically be more efficient if they took those looks from outside the arc instead.

It's true, dude. You can't stick him in just any offense and expect thing to go smoothly. Did you read anything that poster said?

That's a funny clip. I love Iverson. Watching him improved my game a TON when I was a teenager.

Why is no one wondering or doubting if Billups adopts to fast-break basketball as he has been playing possession basketball for the last couple of years?

Because the Nuggets are probably looking to be more of a half-court oriented team now.

They slowed it down a little bit and have gambled less on defense so far this season anyway, I don't think it will be an issue. Chauncey isn't broken-down or anything, so he can run the break when it happens, it's not like he has busted knees and can't run. The big upgrade over AI is that he can run the half-court sets perfectly and make very smart decisions when we end up in a grind-it-out kind of game i.e. playoffs.

im guessing this is a response to my post.

Prove me wrong. Your pretty much supporting my point by saying they put Snow at PG so they could get the ball to their go to guy.

                                Not according to their coach.

"He's excited, but there's a part of him that's going to miss

Detroit," said Karl, who spoke with Billups on Monday and still is

trying to reach Iverson. "He's going to have that happy

depression of what a great six years it was for him there. But I

think every day he'll be excited to see this new team."

Anthony Carter, who will start tonight at point guard before

Billups takes over, doesn't figure the deal will result in a lengthy

adjustment period because "Chauncey's pretty smart."
                                "
It's going to be on the fly because we don't have a lot of

                                practices," Karl said.

He said Billups' "biggest adjustment is probably going from a

possession team to a fast-break team."
