Because obviously the Lakers need a clutch post-season performer who's never won a playoff series since they lost in the NBA Finals to a 66-win team!

    Duh.

Lol, nice grammar. But yes, T-Mac has "risen" or even raised his game in the playoffs.

Lakers don't need anything, though. A team that is the probably the favorite to win it all this year doesn't need anything. This is like saying Bill Gates needs a Bentley. It'd be nice for him if he had one but he doesn't need it to be honest.

Sorry, grammar police. Should I have said "raised"?

I didn't know that someone who hasn't won a playoff series could provide clutch production for the Lakers though.

OMG, you left out a comma in between the words "one" and "but" and left it in a run-on sentence!!!

          lol, nice grammar.

Basketball is a team sport. Also Tmac not getting out the first round is much more than just "He's not clutch."

Haha, don't get riled up over nothing. I just thought it was funny how you said "has risen". No need to get overly defensive and look for my grammatical mistakes for retaliation, I wasn't criticizing you.

Anyway, you can say that T-Mac has never made it out of the first round, but his playoff statistics indicate that he has been better in the playoffs than the regular season. With Orlando, he was carrying a terrible team that had no business beating anyone in the playoffs. With Houston, he ran into some tough teams. In 2005, against the Mavs, he played well but the Mavs were straight up a better team. He lost to the Jazz twice, once without Yao. He hasn't gotten to the second round but to be fair to him, he's played well in the playoffs.
Check the stats unless your sole criteria for "raising your game in the playoffs" is getting as far as possible.

Yeah man. I hate when people put this on Tmac and act like the Rockets the past few years were #1 and #2 seeds choking each year and losing to inferior teams. They were 4th or 5th every time and its not liked they were demolished every time.

Also Tmac has made some clutch plays in the playoffs also and of course in the regular season. I think it's silly, I'd give him the rock to win it in game seven everytime and live with the results.

I just don't like the idea of him and Kobe on the floor in clutch moments, even though they would probably take a contested shot any ways.

LAL needs McGrady like Kobe needs to buy a winter home in Denver.

I can promise you this. Kobe will never move to the state of Colorado.

And LAL would never trade for a brittle SG/SF who suffers from 1st rd impotency.

Gerald Wallace would be a better fit then McGrady, IMO. Felton and Wallace for Odom.

                          Or maybe somebody like Battier.

Maybe it's because his 1st round wife was always a 300 pound narcoleptic who didn't shower
