Why can't Lebron average a triple double. He is 6'8(at least) and 240, so 10+ rebounds is definately reachable and he is a tremendous passer and if he gets with Carter, Butler, or some other star player, 10+ assist is reachable. I think Carmelo will be a pretty good player, but I don't think he will be too special(he has shown nothing to seperate himself from Glenn Robinson comparisons). I think Lebron will do things we've never seen.

Hold on, I'm not saying he WILL average a triple double, I doubt that he would ever do that as he would probaly take too many shots. I just said that he could potentially average close to triple double numbers if he played with the right team/players(and not many players in the league can do that).

          I'd take Darko.

Being a Clipper fan, I already understand there is no chance that the league would allow James to play for the Clippers. Even if the Clippers did take LeBron he'd be out after his rookie contract was over, so he'd have just been there to develope a bit and then leave to go else where for big money and to win.

At least with Darko there would be some sort of hope that he might stay.

Hey Rocky just so you know, Lenny is basically gonna get fired at the end of the sason. I'm hoping that the Raptors hire Van Gundy or a young coach who can institute and uptempo style. Lenny lost this ballclub from jumpstreet and has basically ruined Carter's playing style by making him a perimeter player.

I still think TO would be a good enviroment for LeBron tho, as there are enough veterans and good guys on the club. However if lenny's still coaching next year and we have LeBron then look for King James to have a crappy first year.

I would still go with Lebron. All rookies have to work on their game, no matter when they come in. Anthony needs to get stronger. He has to be able to withstand physical play. When SU played OU, they were real physical and it showed. He wasn't COMPLETLY there. He still had a good game but in tyhe NBA... He is too small to play three (he will get eaten in the post/paint) and to slow for the 2 spot. His jumper needs to be more consistant (he has a great shot but everybody needs to work on there shot). James is a physical player (although he needs to start playing like it more. That weak dribble WILL NOT work in the league) who needs to work on his shot (look at Amare, if in a couple of years he develops a 15ft jumper, look out!).

I just think you can't pass on James. Personally I think he should go to college. He would DOMIATE college too (he already has an NBA body) but he would develop a MUCH better shot. Then he could come to the league after 2 or 3 years in college and really show something! I know the money is tempting and if I were in his shoes I would be out in a sec (gotta get that paper) but from an outsiders point of view... GO TO COLLEGE! GET YOURSELF A JUMPER THEN COME IN AND SHOW ALL THESE HATERS THE PLAYER YOU CAN BE!

He would probably all ready be ineligble for college after all those benefits he recieved. Plus what college in their right mind would want to go through the NCAA breathing down their necks just to see if something went on? Not many.

I think more colleges would overlook that stuff and want him just because he could bring them a National Championship.

yes, i am pro-LeBron going first. The upside for this kid is unlike anything the nba has seen before. He can just about do it all. His jumpshot needs work, but so does every rookies. His athleticism is just sick...plain and simple, he also isnt just a high flyer, this kid actually understands the game..and how to make his teammates better. Something I didnt see of guys like Kobe, T-Mac, or KG in high school which is why this guy is so special. He's not just a dunker scoring at will...he makes his whole team better! I really think the scouts like that the most about him.

I think Melo' will be very good, but not near as good as James. He has proven himself in college, which is good, but doesnt mean everything. He can also do a little of everything, but he is a tweener in the NBA(sort of like Marcus Fizer is but Anthony is already a better shooter and athlete). He of course has to get used to the physical play of the league but again who doesnt.

To sum it up, Anthony will be very good, James will be outstanding...i'd go with James first.
