Re: ninjamonkey\'s slider thread (NBA 2K3)
todays update.
- lowered close shot % by one for both teams.
- raised med shot% by one for both teams
- raised 3 pt% by 2 for both
- lowered lay up % by one for both
- raised AI close shot tendency by one
- lowered AI dunk/layup by one (this should help make PGs less aggressive and pass more)
test it out.Comment

Re: ninjamonkey\'s slider thread (NBA 2K3)
Hey ninjamonkey, after slightly modifying your sliders, ie. lowering blocks, lowering layup percentage by two for both teams and lowering speed by three, I'm getting some pretty realistic results.
Since I bought the game i've nearly always won, unless I got sloppy because I wanted the other team too win because subconciously I didn't want to win because I thought it would be unrealistic for me to.
Now I'm struggling big time. I'm the Grizzlies (yes I know, but I still used to win pretty easily with these guys.), and I've traded away (using original rosters) Dickerson, Gooden and Battier, and replaced them with Malik Rose, Q. Richardson and R. Hamilton.
Anyway, I'm three games into the season and i've lost all of them. I'm half way through my fourth game against the Cavs, and after taking an early lead, they've caught up with me and are now beating me by 4 points.
I do seem to have a bit of a problem with field goal percentages being a little high. The CPU and I seem to be shooting in the mid-low 60's in the first quarter then it slowly decreases during the game and ends up around the 48-52% mark. What i've found is that if I lower FG% even by one, the CPU becomes rather easy to beat. Therefore i've decided to leave it as it is, I'll trade slightly unrealistic FG% for exciting, and difficult gameplay anyday! I mean, I'm only shooting say 5% higher than what I should be so it's no big deal.
Another note i'd like to make for anyone that's been using my team slider settings. One thing i've found is that by lowering your teams crash board setting by 2 but leaving the oppositions setting normal you'll have a very difficult game on your hands. My Grizzlies are currently 2nd last on the rebounding list, grabbing 38 boards a game! Before this I used to get at least 50-55 a game.
These sliders definately have been the best i've experienced so far. After all this testing and discussion a sticky thread should be made with the updated ninjamonkey sliders settings and either his or my team slider settings.Comment

Re: ninjamonkey\'s slider thread (NBA 2K3)
I dont think much can be done about fg%'s and the game still be challenging...it is just a flaw in the game engine itself. From my playing I believe about 47-52% is about the closest to getting real numbers you'll get.Comment
