    your sliders are ok

i played last night with your sliders and they were okay, i still score at will and get to the basket when i want to.

i really believe playing at the pro level is the best option for this game.

Well im new to this forum and to be honest i came to look for realistic sliders.
Ninja after using your sliders i came to the conclusion that yours was the best one ive seen so far.
Ive played 2 games so far and both of them were realistic stats wise. In my first game against the hawks i won 98-92
I shot 51% while the hawks shot 41%
In my second game against the heat i won a close one 92-89
This time the shooting was lower i shot 44% while the heat shot 38%. By the way i play with 12 min qtrs.
The only problem i found were the steals were too high i had 13 steals in my first and 11 in the second game. and also the cpu 3pt shooting were terrible, the Hawks shot 1-12 and the heat shot 0-10.
All in all im pretty happy with your sliders.

the 3 pt shooting problem was something i was planning to fix today and put in my update.
as for the steals, not much an be done to lower steals because steal rating is already at 0.

Re: ninjamonkey and ninjak2\'s slider thread (NBA 2K3)

The game I played last night I got pretty realistic steal numbers( I had 9, while the cpu had 7). I wasnt trying to get jump steals either, my steals were off lazy cpu post passes, when id gamble and play the passing lanes(step out in front of the cpu player, not jumping up to intercept it) and I stripped the cpu a couple times. I like it b/c the reaching in slider is so high that you can't just mash the strip button the whole game. You have to pick and chose your spots or you will foul out quickly(I had to sit Antoine Walker in the first after 2 quick ones).

The only problem I saw was with the PG's. They tend to try to assert themselves a little too much. Eric Snow had 24 points, and in part of the 2nd game i played against the Hawks Emanuel Davis looked for his shot a bit too often. Maybe this is b/c my defense, i have to play more games. Keep up the good work ninja

              thanks Bad_Intentions.
yes, some PGs are very aggressive but if you learn to play really good defense, you can shut them down.
is anyone else seeign the cpu shooting too well. Most of my games they are over 50% shooting. i am workign on a solution to this. i havent tested this but, im thinking (for home and away) of lowering dunk% and layup% by one, lowering clos % by 2, upping 3 pt% by two, and upping med shot% by one. let me know how that works if you test it out.
let me know if your not having a problem with the cpu shooting too hihg of a %.

ok, i just finished my 2nd game..i was the nets and I beat the mavs 80-69. I shot 54% they shot 48%. I was 2-8 3pts they were 1-7, they were 4-4 FT's I was 14-22(Finley actually fouled out) they had 13 TO's i had 9. they had 4 steals i had 5. Here are the stat lines for certain players
                  Finley 22 pts, 3 assts 2 reb, 2 stl
                  nash 18 pts, 10 assts, 1 reb, 1 stl
van exel 14 pts, 2 assts, 2 reb
                  lafrentz 9 pts, 10 reb, 1 stl
Dirk 6 pts, 2 assts, 11 reb (i was disappointed that he only took 10 shots, but he only made 3, he was also 0-1 from 3)

                  Kidd 26 pts, 2 assts, 2 reb, 2 stl
                  Martin 19 pts, 4 assts, 3 reb
                  Deke 13 pts, 3 assts, 7 reb, 3 stls
                  Jefferson 8 pts, 7 assts, 8 reb

I was kinda disappointed that Kidd didnt get about 3 or 4 more assists. He did get alot of layups though which boosted the fg%

Another interesting thing i saw, Adrian Griffin got hurt in the 3rd qaurter with a hip bruise and they went with a 3 gaurd lineup(finley, van exel, nash).

Is there a way any of these slider threads can be put up as a sticky for reference?

Well, I know that if I play 5 min quarters the attempts and such will go down, but is it just the same difference as a 5 min game as a opposed to a 10 min game with normal settings? If so then thats no big deal, as long as I see the game play out realistically (guys take open shots, move the ball, etc)

                          The dynasty will return

yes, it will still play realistically.
for simplicity purposes, lets just say your stats will be cut in half, except for %s of course.
