Mavs turn down deal that would've sent Jason Kidd to the Clippers for Baron Davis and Chris Kaman.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2/9-2/15 NBA Discussion
That is an epic fail by both franchises.
And when I complain about the Celtics getting screwed by the NBA I get **** for it.
Both of the fouls WEREN'T fouls
LeBron got hip checked, while Granger barely got moved. In reality, though, it's all moot. Z couldn't box out a puppy and my bitching about the call isn't going to change anything.Too Old To Game Club

Well I can understand the Mavs turning that deal down since they are trying to shed contracts, not take on more huge contractss and that Kidd is starting to get more and more comfortable within Rick Carlisle's system, although I think a lineup of Baron, Dirk, Josh and Kaman with JET coming off the bench would be pretty serious could make some noise in the West.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2/9-2/15 NBA Discussion
The Red Rocket had another huge game tonight, ending with 22 points, 8-10 shooting, and 4-5 from downtown. He is 19-26 from beyond the arc since January 27th. He was shooting 49% from three-point range before the game, so it will be interesting to see if he tops 50% as a result of this performance. It's too bad he didn't get in the three-point shootout. I think he's a better shooter than Mason (Who is a pretty darn good shooter himself) and that statistics seem to back this statement up.
Tim Duncan was solid as was Tony Parker as the Spurs roll on over the Nets.Comment

Vince Carter To San Antonio?
Star-Ledger - 02/10 - 4:54 PM EST (AP Photo)
Looking to capitalize on the absence of Andrew Bynum in Los Angeles, the Spurs have inquired about New Jersey's Vince Carter. However, any deal between the Spurs and Nets would be difficult to swing because New Jersey isn't interested many of San Antonio's players. Only Roger Mason Jr. seems to intrigue the Nets.
And Matt Bonner a better shooter than Mason? LOL
He may be shooting a better percentage than Bonner but Mason has been among the league's best shooter the past 2-3 seasons, so I wouldn't quite exactly go that far.#RespectTheCultureComment

No need to do this as the Spurs have nobody of interest that I see. Especially Roger Mason.

I really can't say I want Vince Carter. For one, who would the Spurs have to give away to acquire him? I certainly don't want to trade any of the Big Three away. Secondly, I don't know if the Spurs really need a superstar to come in who wants the ball a lot. That could create some chemistry issues that I don't want to have to deal with.
I've also heard Rasheed Wallace's name brought up. I know he's a good player, but I just don't want to see him in a Spurs uniform. We don't need his technicals or the chemistry issues he may pose. And who would we have to trade to get him?

Re: 2/9-2/15 NBA Discussion
I mean don't get me wrong, I can SEE Carter fitting in with the Spurs. This isn't the Toronto Vince you would be getting and I doubt his touches would be that big of a deal since he hasn't been making a deal out of it here in Jersey.
But I just don't see any attractive pieces the Spurs could offer to us. I mean if they wanna include Manu or Bruce or somebody like that, then we're better off just keeping him around which is what I hope they'll do.#RespectTheCultureComment
