    Antigravity's Team and Gameplay Sliders

    Firstly I would like to acknowledge the two Ninja's (Ninjamonkey and Ninja2k) for providing me with preliminary sliders to work with and quality constructive criticism and discussion so that I can improve my sliders.

    Anyhow, here they are and any opinions on how I can better these would be fantastic.

    Home Close Shot% - 16
    Home Medium Shot% - 22
    Home 3pt Shot% - 21
    Home Dunk% - 26
    Home Layup% - 19
    Home Dunk/Layup vs Shot - 34

    Away Close Shot% - 16
    Away Medium Shot% - 22
    Away 3pt Shot% - 20
    Away Dunk% - 26
    Away Layup% - 19
    Away Layup/Dunk vs Shot - 35

    AI Close Shot - 11
    AI Medium Shot - 28
    AI 3pt Shot - 32
    AI Dunk/Layup - 25

    All Fouls - 40 (full)

    Steals - 0
    Blocks - 11
    Speed - 14
    Ball Handling - 9
    Dunks - 9
    Off Awareness - 14
    Def Awareness - 7
    Injuries - 11

    The best way to enter sliders is to reduce the default level to zero then count up. This is because to some people may be unaware that some sliders our out of 20 and others are out of 40.

    I play 12 minute quarters at Normal speed. Therefore these settings are suited more towards this style of play. However feel free to give them a try at fast speed with shorter quarters too see what it's like.

    My team sliders will be in the next post as this one is already massive as it is.

    Here are the slightly modified team slider settings. I suggest that you should reduce the team your using (in one player mode only) crash boards slider by two. This is to maximise the oppositions rebounding power without sacrifising gameplay and realism.

        Antigravity, ninjas , let me tell you guys something....you guys are doing a good job but here is the major problem....on pick and rolls it is easy to go around the pick and drive to the basket everytime , it seems that the defense doesnt ge there on time or the defense players dont switch....

            Try increasing defensive awareness and defensive stopping power.

            I'd say play a quarter with the defensive awareness increased by 1 or 2 along with Defensive Stopping Power by 1. Play the whole quarter that way to see what you see. if you don't like what you see, increase them again for the next quarter to see if you like what you see. Continue the process until you've reached a good spot for you.
            EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

                I don't seem to have that problem. I'm always getting opposition players coming across to help the defense. However, If you want to improve this setting i'd increase defensive awareness and see what happens. Defensive awareness is the only thing thats going to help.

                The only problem is that increasing defensive awareness will decrease your ability to back down players in the post. Whether increasing def. awareness by only one or two will make a difference is unknown, so give it a go and let us know of the results.

                    antigravity, set a pick and roll and make sure your player sets the pick on the guard defender. as soon as that happens SPEED BURST your PG or SG around the pick and get close to the basket or even a few feet away and lay it up. this will happen like 95% of time. What i am doing right now is lowering the ball handle to 2 or 3 and now its tougher to get around the pick and sometimes defense will pick it up because the guard doesnt dribble as quick and in place. the problem now im having is that i cant cross over anybody and they steal it when i try.

                    one more thing i wanted to add...antigravity, and ninjas...you guys know that the HOME AND AWAY dunk/layup vs. shot is the more you reduce that slider the more players will shooot instead of dunking or laying it up. So you guys have those on high so as soon im anywhere near the paint after getting around my defender with teh speed burst button he will lay it up or dunk it which i hate because thats not real...i say its not real because when there are 2 guys in front of you and i am at the free throw line and speed burst i will go through them so what i did was lower those sliders so they will take the shot instead of taking it in....but i was wondering why do you have the away team more aggressive? 35 and home on 34?? the lesser the more shots , just letting you guys know.

                        I was under the impression that it was dunk/layup vs shot, therefore thought that the slider would represent those setting in that order, dunk/layup THEN shot. If it is how you say, then I am wrong, and would have the away team less aggressive.

                        And in regards to your question about the posting up and running around them, i've noticed that the defensive awareness and post defense ratings of the defending player make a difference in how fast you can get around the players. How you want to tackle this is up too you, but I like to be able to skip around some defenders with certain players. I beleive it's totally realistic. That said, I'm not having a 95% success rate. I'm getting stopped in my tracks all the time?!

                        Have a play and tell us what you think..

                            Maybe im just good, i dont know what it is. ive tried ninja and your sliders and by all means are very good for the exception of the pick and rolls , if timed right and speed burst after the pick is set reverts to an easy layup or dunk...i dont know but i dont want to change the attributes because i like playing online with my buddies. so i came to a conclusion that im just good.
