So what? There is a decent history of great scoring power forwards. And FYI, power fowards also need to block shots and rebound. Elite power forwards average 10+ rebounds a game, block shots, defend in the post and score inside.

If they don't, who will?

Most 2nd tier players are deficient in one area like this. For instance, if Amar'e wanted to be elite, he'd have to start defending as well. Dwight Howard is the opposite. If his offensive game continues to grow, he will be considered one of the absolute best players in the league, because he already is a GREAT rebounder and defender. Dirk is a one trick pony. Shoot, Dirk. Shoot.

Dirk is the best rebounder on the Mavs (all time franchise leader), and they are consistently one of the better rebounding teams in the league. DIrk's career playoff averages are 25 points and 12 rebounds...and he has led the postseason in rebounding before.

DIrk is obviously not a "lock down defender" lol and he wont make any all defense teams, but he is an underrated defender. There are some games when he forgets about playing defense or when he is tired from having to carry the offense. However, Dirk has become a very solid defender overall. If he wasnt, then the Mavs wouldnt be in the top 10 on this list every season.

you are overanalyzing. There are no perfect players in the NBA. Anyway, it doesnt matter what you think. Again, Dirk's play on the court speaks for itself.

ZB9, you already agreed that Dirk isn't as good as the players I mentioned. Case closed, man. That's the very definition of elite. I said he was very good, but not elite, and without admitting it, you've already agreed.

the only thing established is that you dont know what elite means

A player that is currently a top 10 player in the league is "elite"...and HOF players are elite
