BUT are you really trying to make the case for football being a better pick up and play sport than basketball?Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Why Are You Thankful for the NBA?
Plus one on one basketball can still be a lot of fun and that's simply not possible in football, baseball etc unless you wanna play catch.Comment

Re: Why Are You Thankful for the NBA?
TECHNALLY i think that basketball is the perfect showcase of all human attributes... & i love the NBA because of pace & the amount of intensity that is plain to see... non-stop action and their mental toughness/intelligence gets them just as far as their talentComment

Re: Why Are You Thankful for the NBA?
Thread is almost a complete failure but good try DC.
The game is beautiful. A great dance. Improvisation on the court and in the air.
Like great musicians they keep pushing each other.
Kept to a mathematical clock but a distinct rhythm when the game is played right.
Its awe inspiring.
It is culture, the moves, the walk, the talk, the individualism shining within and around team.
It is humanity, teamwork. Competition. The essence of life.
The NBA brings all this at its best.Comment

Re: Why Are You Thankful for the NBA?
Gambling, I gamble/bet on alot of games. And of course, the excitement it brings, it's just the game that has stuck to my interest ever since I started playing as a young child and watching it on television. I don't know how to explain the love that I have for this amazing game. It's just too bad Stern is in charge.Comment

Re: Why Are You Thankful for the NBA?
I hate it, whenever I watch it I feel like I need to go out and buy a new NBA game(which I've put off for a long time, but may break down this time). I don't watch it too much, but when I do I really enjoy it. So, no I don't hate it, but I hate that it puts a dent in my wallet.Comment
