Re: Since MJ Left, Has There Really Been A COMPLETE Player In The League?
Just funny how people are so stuck in their generations that they can have the audacity to use words, NEVER, EVER" when describing if anyone will and can surpass MIke. Again, once all of us are dead, there will only be game film of Mike. Game film isn't enough to capture the moment.
It is a generationally biased question.
MIke is the best of MY lifetime. That is all I can fairly say
I didn't see Doc, Wilt, Russell, Kareem, Big O. So I won't judge them. Tape isn't enough. I didn't LIVE through their eras to have a FULL opinion on them.Concrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

No he wouldn't. You're 24. You don't even know what hand checking was like.
Please educate yourself first, before you start coming with a strong opinion.
EDIT: Hand checking rule came in 1994. You were 9 years old. How the hell can you determine Kobe would ball back then???Comment

Umm, isn't Kobe still playing with a torn ligament in his pinky on his shooting hand? And didn't he not miss a game after dislocating his ring finger on his shooting hand earlier this year?My NBA Teams:
1) Blazers
2) Spurs
3) HawksComment

Man Please don't try to turn this into a MJ-Kobe comparison because that's not even why I made the topic.
Damn, does thread gotta turn into one of those every time a thread is created NOT comparing the two? LOL#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Since MJ Left, Has There Really Been A COMPLETE Player In The League?
Ok What about D-Wade he is the Heat the cavs got Mo ( I kno they didn't have him last year but still) when the heat didn't have Wade last year they were terrible an Wade has defense he has like a 100+ steals and 100+ blocks he is RAW! everyone always thinks Oh Lebron Is The BEST! but he hasn't even won a championship!? I mean lebron is hella good but D-wade is D-wade! lol but no one can replace MJ for how do you think the NBA got lebron, kobe, dwade, melo, cp3, etc. All because of MJ he is basketballDwayne Wade For "MVP"Comment

Re: Since MJ Left, Has There Really Been A COMPLETE Player In The League?
I think there are a few "complete" players in the NBA.
Jordan was just one of those special players/people that had will and drive to do whatever it takes to achieve his goals.
There are way too many variables to start comparing players in 2009 to players of past years. I think Jordan may have been a better defender than the players that get the comparisons. (Kobe & Lebron)
You can see from the stats that while Jordan has lower PPG in his career his other stats are better than Kobe's. However Kobe played with Shaq...

I think the media really puts these comparisons out there way too often. Another one I hate is the "Can LeBron average a triple double like Oscar did?".Last edited by JMMTX1978; 04-18-2009, 12:16 PM.Comment

Jordan is the best player I've seen in my lifetime, but you need to stop acting like great players won't follow him.Last edited by Chip Douglass; 04-18-2009, 02:00 PM.I write things on the Internet.
