whens the last time a wing player won a ring without a dominate big man along with him?

mike? he had another HOF player with him and a HOF coach...

Larry Bird?, Magic? they had Hall of Fame players on thier teams...who also happend to be big men...(hmmmmmm)

I guess what im saying is if Cleveland can get a big man, or get LeBron some REAL help then he will stay, but why flounder in your hometown just to "keep it real"...

When at the very least you could be floundering in NY getting paid on your way to becoming the first basketball billionaire...in a market where at least pewople will come (although i think that a moot point as i think even if bron played in milwuakee people would want to come)

Lebron, by himself, isnt going to get it done.

YOu need Lebron, another legit all star at the wing or in the blocks, and a enforcer/banger power foward.

what you need, are the '91 bulls or the 2004 Lakers.

      Not easy.

The only people signed beyond 2010 are Mo, Delonte, and Boobie.

Cleveland will have cap space the next two years to sign some legit players.

It's Cleveland though. In your past ranking of crappy NBA Cities Cleveland has to below Detroit and you know how cold it is in the D.

Everyone will want to play with the King though.

They'll probably have a new coach by then as well

              1. So Cold is the second worst NBA city. Cleveland is probably 4th.

              2. How many NBA players in the north live in their city? Aside from New York and Chicago, I'd assume all live in suburbs during the season and then book down south once the season is over.

              3. Playing with Lebron has to be favorable to not winning the chips.

People remember Pippen. Nobody remembers the #2 on most of those other teams. Being Pippen to Lebron is much better than being Pippen on the team Lebron beats 4-0.

he actually had the choice of being Lebrons "Robin" and opted for being "The man" in Milwaukee.

Re: "If If I can... MAKE it here I can make it ANYWHERE...

Hypothetical question: Let's assume here the Nets are in Brooklyn, can someone make a case as to why Lebron would choose the Knicks over the Nets when they can offer just AS much as the Knicks can?

Curious to hear the responses because going by some of the responses in here, you would think it's just between Cavs and Knicks. It's crazy because it was just a few years ago that he was going to go to the Nets if indeed he were going to leave Cleveland, so what have the Knicks done all of a sudden to just become the new attraction for him.

The problem is the Nets aren't in Brooklyn yet. New Jersey might as well be 40,000 miles away from New York.

Once the Nets are in New York, the discussion changes entirely.

For the record, I think the Nets are one of the few "bad" teams that Lebron can instantly turn into a contender.

And Michael Redd is a loser who can't even make the playoffs.

Paul Pierce, KG, and Ray Allen all took lesser roles to win a championship. As kid Malone and Payton. As have a ton of people throughout history.

Redd is one person who decided to not go this path. Michael Redd will also be forgotten by 2015.

Considering that it'll be a 1 year difference between Lebron possibly being a FA in 2010 and Jersey being in Brooklyn in 2011, you would think still wouldn't hurt our chances of getting him(hypothetically speaking)

It's not about the Nets' chances. It's about the reality of an arena in Brooklyn. Once there is one, people will discuss the two teams much more seriously. Right now, there is only one arena in New York, and it's really famous. And let's face it, this Nets/Brooklyn thing has seen some ups and downs, so you can't expect people to talk about the Nets in the context of being a NYC team.
