i don't get it, is it a bad thing to model or follow someone that's been your childhood idol? It's better than him following the footsteps of Yinke Dare.

Nike would be the way to go, not only are there shoes always better looking, but Nike has always been an innovative company. The last good looking shoe Reebok has put out were the first Iverson's. Addidas is ok.

Magic modeled his game like Oscar Robertson, why is no one hating Magic? Magic's game was a mixture of a lot of the greats (the people he looked up to)--When Magic started doing the baby hook,no one was like "AHH he's trying to be like Kareem"--

True, Kobe plays a lot like MJ, but he adds his own creativity and skill to it and it becomes his own.

It's obvious there are people on this board that just hate players for obvious reasons, but atleast have enough respect and knowledge for the game to understand the trends. Kobe will be Kobe, I admire the fact that he's a well spoken, educated, committed player and not some thug that couldn't read a contract without his agent reading it for him.
