Well, you guys are essentially argueing against your own points. Parker was 18 when he came in and helped the Spurs immediately, Stoudemire was 18 and played better than the majority of big men in the NBA, Kobe was asked to take the last shot as an 18 year old yet they should have to sit out? Nope, if they're good enough to get into the NBA, they get drafted. The NFL is different in that an 18 year old body may be at a disadvantage when it comes to size and speed. The NBA is different, as Lebron shows us that it's possible to have a NBA body type at 18.

Look at the league dude. NBA now or the NBA in the early 90's and 80's and tell me which had overall better play. If you say now then you dont know a darn thing about basketball.

so are you saying the age limit would hurt the league? I really dont think it would. Just provide it with more experienced players. And as for the NFL, Maurice Clarett seems to have believed that he was ready for the jump to the pros, he has a "pro" body.

Hey you know what I think I have a pro body I think I will declare for the NBA Draft! *sarcastic* The leagues quality of play has downgraded and a lot of it has to do with HS players and players that think they are ready but not coming into the league and pushing development back 2-3yrs. There are exceptions but they are a rarity.

I think to really improve the quality of play, contraction is needed. Say goodbye to Clippers and don't bring a new Charlotte franchise.

I dont know about contraction, but the age limit would be a step in the right direction. If a team were to be contracted im sure that would just lead to another expansion down the road.

If Donald Sterling ever set foot in Charlotte I dont think he would make it out alive.
