Oh did I mention that even with Dirk on the team, he won't matter? Why because SA will overwhelmed them defensively. Didn't you see the 3 staright losses they just recieved with Dirk on the lineup?

And they are on there strongest lineup.
And DON"T even talk about Dirk getting fouled in game 2. Rose gameplan on that game was not to score but to force contact with Dirk for a foul. And maybe you still wonder why SA is called a great defensive team.

I'll drink.

Actually, they didn't lose 3 straight. They lost game 4, even tho it was pretty close throughout, and the Mavs won game 5. A pretty good win actually. Then they lost it in game 6. And that was a pretty close game too, until the 4th quarter. So, even without Dirk, all 3 of those games were pretty well contested. The Mavs just don't have the presense down-low to do anything.

Sorry, I thought you were still talking about the SA series with MAVS. You see in the playoffs, it is very important that you have to be a finisher to add more psychological advantage for you team. Every opportunity or advantage you can get must be exploited because next time there won't be any. Only 3 teams can say "Next Time" and that is LA, SA, and SAC. Why because this teams are so dominant that it is guaranteed they will meet again. Granted both teams are still intact.
MAVS was kick 3 straight by POR in the first round. If they are truly a great team, they should have closed the game in 5. It is okay to loss 2 or 3 games, but not straight 3 games.
As you can see in the past championship teams, they never allowed to be defeated 3 straight games in a row during a series. Most of the championship teams are great finishers.
If I could remember correctly during game 4 of SAC MAVS series (SAC wins) Barkley criticized Dirk comments that they are contented that they got the split from SAC.
Barkley said that if MAVS wants to be a championship team, he has to change that attitude of contentment because it's gonna hunt them in the end. And it did.
And for those people that say's what does Barkley know about championships, he faced Jordan's BULLS during the finals. And the BULLS lineup during that time are more stronger than any lineup the NBA has right now. Much more stronger than LA. Even Phil admit it.
Yes, Barkley knows what it takes. They did loss but it was a hard fought and earned win by the BULLS. Every points of it.
