Durant is just ridiculous. It was only a matter of time coming out of Texas for him to dominate the NBA the same way he dominated the college game.

Size, skill, smarts, hustle. Versatile offensive game. It's comical.

Man, gimme KD over Kobe. Until today I never thought I'd say that.

That was apparent during the halfway point of this year.

Several swingmen are playing at "a higher level" than Kobe is.

LBJ, Melo, Wade, Durant to name a few.

We'll see what Kob has left in the tank for the playoffs and if he'll flip a magical switch. I doubt it.

He said 'Bron. Not MJ. And no Durant isn't, nor will he ever be, better than LBJ IMO.

It's way to premature for this sort of Durant vs LeBron talk, but of course tons of people are going to buy into. If Durant averages 30ppg for the next decade and wins 5 titles and LeBron only wins two titles then you still wouldn't put Durant ahead of him?

I can see Durant being better than Lebron when its all said and done, especially if Lebron continues his streak of winning nothing.

I'd pump the brakes on the Kobe talk too. Yeah, I'd take him if we're talking about the future but he's going to have to keep getting his all-around game better before he can be in that discussion.

Comparing Kevin and LeBron is tough in my opinion. Both have very different games. It will be nice to see when Durant gets more weight and defensive minded.... how nasty he could be.

The question is does anyone think Durant can get better than he already is.

Yes. I think he has only just scratched the surface.

I agree but that's never stopped people from comparing LBJ & Kobe or any other superstars in the past.

The question is does anyone think Durant can get better than he already is.
Of course he will, the kid is just getting started.

Lets see how it looks after next year. Kobe's played through the season with a broken finger and a few other injuries. Is he so good that he still looks to be on the same level as those guys even with a broken finger? Or has the gap really closed with all those players? We're quick to forget even the recent past. That's why I'm hesitant to put LBJ over Kobe just yet. He's definitely over him for this year but overall, I'll give Kobe another year to see how things look. And of course, Lebron needs to catch up in rings but there's plenty of time for that.
