Hey everyone lay off schindeler, he might have a point. QuicksilverK brought this up last night in the chatroom, and me, KDRE, and Kruza was trying to figure this one out. It really made me think. I agree with schindeler, I think he is a little overrated. He shoots a even worst percentage than Iverson, but at least Iverson will still guarantee you 30!!! And Kidd doesn’t even take as many shots as AI. He turns the ball over a whole lot. And he’s not going to guarantee you 20 a night like Marbury. Yesterday a lot of people criticized Bowen about his comments, but he was exactly right. Kidd is a little overrated. He is still an All-Star, he still is an MVP candidate, he is still the best point in the league. But I think people were making him out to be the Jordan, of a young Nets team. I mean do you honestly think he’s gonna win a championship against the powerful West??? I’m mean even Charles Barkley, the man who picked the Spurs all year to win it all, all of a sudden had a change of heart because the swept in the East, due to Kidd’s leadership??? Think about it, you swept in the East?!?!!?!? I think people overrated him, and the Nets. Even though are in the Finals I’m not sure if they were the Best team in the East, because they’re really isn’t. I mean think about it, if the Sixers had met them first round, the Nets would have been eliminated, but if the Sixers faced the Pistons next, then the Pistons would have eliminated the Sixers, but if the Pistons had gotten to the Pacers, then they would have been eliminated by them. So its like a lottery in the East, so the is no true best team out the East. It’s just who’s healthy and matchups. All in all, I like J.Kidd, and I’m not hating on the Nets because I would love for them to bring a championship to N.J., but you have to think they were a little overrated and so was Kidd. I expect Kidd to have a better game Friday, but game 1 was a message for the East. The message was: JUST BECAUSE THE LAKERS AREN’T HERE, DOESN’T MEAN THAT THE WEST DOESN’T DOMINATE.

That’s all I got to say,
Peace.

One bad game.....I seem to see Kidd shoot like that all the time. I must be missing something.

Man it was one game...Spurs have proven to let teams back into series. This by all means isn't over! I dont think anyone made Kidd out to be Jordan, as I said earlier look at his poor shooting game and he still almost had a triple double. He does so much more than score to help his team win. I think Scott made some poor coaching moves last night but this isnt about that. To say NJ isnt the best team in the East is just not true........THEY WON 10 GAMES IN A ROW IN THE PLAYOFFS! Philly would have dropped to their knees just like Boston and Detroit. You can throw what if's around all day...hell If New Orleans played Orlando the first round they would have won, and they woudl have beat whoever they played in the 2nd round.......I mean you can't really take that kinda talk seriously b/c what if's mean nothing. You can't really say what would have happened. I dont think the Nets are overrated at all...they still are a dangerous team, that has the ability to run you to death if you turn the ball over....1 game doesnt take away what they've been doing in the playoffs and all season.

Ther is one way to end this argument. Nets pre-Kidd 26 wins...With Kidd 52 and 50 wins two NBA finals. Yep, the guy looks overrated to me.
