Re: Jason Kidd is overrated

Hey everyone lay off schindeler, he might have a point. QuicksilverK brought this up last night in the chatroom, and me, KDRE, and Kruza was trying to figure this one out. It really made me think. I agree with schindeler, I think he is a little overrated. He shoots a even worst percentage than Iverson, but at least Iverson will still guarantee you 30!!! And Kidd doesn’t even take as many shots as AI. He turns the ball over a whole lot. And he’s not going to guarantee you 20 a night like Marbury. Yesterday a lot of people criticized Bowen about his comments, but he was exactly right. Kidd is a little overrated. He is still an All-Star, he still is an MVP candidate, he is still the best point in the league. But I think people were making him out to be the Jordan, of a young Nets team. I mean do you honestly think he’s gonna win a championship against the powerful West??? I’m mean even Charles Barkley, the man who picked the Spurs all year to win it all, all of a sudden had a change of heart because the swept in the East, due to Kidd’s leadership??? Think about it, you swept in the East?!?!!?!? I think people overrated him, and the Nets. Even though are in the Finals I’m not sure if they were the Best team in the East, because they’re really isn’t. I mean think about it, if the Sixers had met them first round, the Nets would have been eliminated, but if the Sixers faced the Pistons next, then the Pistons would have eliminated the Sixers, but if the Pistons had gotten to the Pacers, then they would have been eliminated by them. So its like a lottery in the East, so the is no true best team out the East. It’s just who’s healthy and matchups. All in all, I like J.Kidd, and I’m not hating on the Nets because I would love for them to bring a championship to N.J., but you have to think they were a little overrated and so was Kidd. I expect Kidd to have a better game Friday, but game 1 was a message for the East. The message was: JUST BECAUSE THE LAKERS AREN’T HERE, DOESN’T MEAN THAT THE WEST DOESN’T DOMINATE.

That’s all I got to say,
      Peace.

I've said it before, being over/under-rated is all based on perception.

For me, he is the best PG in the L. You cannot overrate that. I think everyone in here said he's the best PG in the L, except for one person. Although he did have a bad night, he does so much more for the team. He makes everyone better. He creates shots for everyone, and makes his teammates job easier. I don't think he's overrated. Fin.

That’s all I got to say,
                                Peace.
