Not terribly surprising considering those "end it all" style tweets combined with the substance questions. Hope he gets his head together before the season gets going.

EDIT: LOL @ GSW.. yeah, basically.. the borderline suicidal posts are what got him in that situation though.

It just seems like his agent or lawyer got to him and told him to put those on twitter after that people saw that he had weed in that picture.

As a Miami Heat fan i can't tell you how thrilled i am to be following the team during the Super Cool Beas era. This must be like how Mavs fans felt in the 80's when they had Tarpley. A 2nd overall pick hasnt killed their trade value this badly since Len Bias.

What else is dumb is all of these moron athletes and their HIDEOUS tattoos. One day, "Supercool" there is gonna be 65 or 70 (if he's lucky, at the rate he's going, he might be lucky to get to 45) and that tattoo is going to look even worse than it does now.

Can't these goofball athletes find anything else to spend their money on? Whoever brought back the tattoo as cool, should be beaten.

First of all, you don't know where he uses at, you're speculating, second of all, when I said that, I was referring to his continuing string of bad lifestyle choices, which typically don't extend ones life. Third, my post was made in humor, not malice, so I don't harbor any ill will towards him. He is however a public figure that some kids probably look up to, so it would be nice if he would try to set a better example.

I'm not a person that believes athletes are above anyone else, I put them on no pedestal, so it's fair, in my opinion, to criticize them when they do stupid things. Using drugs, regardless of what they are, is a stupid thing, and yes, I know "a lot of NBA players/NFL players/whatever, etc, ad nauseum, do it, but that neither makes it right, or socially acceptable, especially when it can cost you your career, your health, or your life.

It just gets old seeing so many blessed athletes do so many stupid things.

I wish him well though, hopefully he gets the help that gets his life back on track.

Neither have I, nor do I want to, nor do I think that one has to have done that, in order to have an opinion on the subject. I have however had too many friends and family members lives messed up or ruined due to drugs, which is why I feel so strongly about their use being given tacit approval in the world of entertainment and sports.

Fair points, but he's also breaking the law and the rules of his league, so the "big deal" might be that his actions could cost him money and his career. I know that if I did something that could potentially cost me my job, I would consider that being a big deal.

He is shooting Heroin? No, of course not, but again, my post was made with a touch of humor. Do I have evidence he only has 20 years or so to live, not at all, nor do I hope that.

Hey, man. I'm on your side. I think it takes a brain already impaired to see idiots high, & hooked (as some argue its non-addictive), on weed do the stupid things that they do & then not only deny its affects, but join in on the stupidity.

More than half of America is obese, but that doesn't mean we should say that's cool. If that high of a number of NBA players smoke weed, then they have a serious problem on their hands.

I've always found fault with the line of thinking that because "X" number of people do drugs, or whatever, it doesn't matter, that it's ok, or socially acceptable. It's still, like it or not, illegal, so why take the risk?
