This quote says a lot about Jennings:

“The shots kept going in, and after a while the rim kept getting bigger and bigger and I just felt like I couldn’t miss,” Jennings said. “I guess I was in that zone, you know? But that doesn’t happen without [Andrew] Bogut down low, scoring in the post and opening things up for me. I’m not doing this alone here.”
One thing I heard somewhere (PTI?) that he bought a Ford Fusion or something instead of some $500,000 car. Jennings mentioned he wanted to be smart with his money and not fall in the hole of NBA debt.

I think he came off as a little cocky during the draft but right now he is playing with pure confidence.

Jennings VS Rose should bring some good games out in the Central Division.

Yeah they talked about it on NBA TV too. He drives a Ford Flex. Said he wants to save some money and not blow it. It seems like that year overseas was the best thing that could have happened to him. I know he says it all the time but it really does seem like it. Coming out of HS he did seem like a very cocky guy and just by seeing his few interviews from this year it seems like a nite and day difference.

There you go, yeah a Flex. I agree, looks like he learned some things overseas to prepare him on and off the court in the NBA.

I actually thought Jennings previous game vs. Denver was more impressive than this game. He made alot of big plays down the stretch.

Sure 55 points is a big deal, but after watching the game...Lebron or Wade would've put up 234 points each against that travesty of a team.

Why do we always have to have these threads after a guy has a few good games? Yes he's played well so far in his first 7 games but let's see what he does for the whole year.

Although I must admit I have enjoyed watching him so far this year. He has a lot of talent.

lebron, kobe, wade, durant, all of the league's best players will play the warriors at least twice... let's see how many players score 55 against them.... the way you just discredited him is one of the worst ways to do it... Mentioning other players who would do better, but when it comes time to play the warriors, they won't...

i don't see how it's possible for the Denver game to be more impressive period... 32 and 9 in a win over a good team is great... but 29 points in one quarter and 55 in a game trumps that every time...

They probaly won't. But don't confuse won't with can't. They won't because they don't have to. The Warriors have given up 100 points every game this season.

I would tend to agree. 29 points in one quarter? That's absurd for any player especially when you're a rookie PG.

I think you could make the case for the DEN game simply because they played DEN [a legit oppononet] and Jennings is unproven. So when you see a kid going out there making plays, showing extreme confidence and producing against DEN [a team with title aspirations] it would probably make a big impression.

Meanwhile, Golden State is a JOKE. Especially defensively.

Overall double nickle triumphs. 55 points for a PG is very rare.

It will be interesting to see what happens once Michael Redd returns. That can be a dynamic back court if Redd decides to share the ball.
