That's what's wrong with the NBA system. The half of non-playoff teams closest to a playoff spot should have two balls in the lotto, and the other half just one. This forces teams to try as hard as possible no matter what, removes incentive for teams to tank, and rewards teams for making good signings and management decisions.

Thank you this is what I tell people and they believe it should go to the team with the worst record or that the current system is fine.

I wouldn't mind the Sixers taking Favors 2nd but if this was a video game I would take Demarcus Cousins 2nd.

well the team with the worst record hasnt had the #1 pick 5 out of the last 6 years now right? So it shows that tanking hasnt really worked. Its not like football where the worst record automatically gets the #1 pick. I think the system is ok. Teams either take their chances for more balls and hope to get that #1 pick to build the future around or teams get less balls and get a worse pick.

I think the system is fine, its much better than football where the worst record automatically gets you the #1 pick. If you had that then teams would be tanking much earlier and much worse.

i feel bad for Wall that he's stuck in DC now with a team that wont be competing for a title while he's there. He needs to just play out his rookie contract then get the hell out of there.

I said i think they'll take Cousins. Thats my prediction, did i say its a fact? No. I see them taking either Cousins or Favors.

If they would have gotten Wall i think that would have been more appealing for Lebron because he likes Wall. It has nothing to do with ESPN because if i just followed what ESPN said i'd be saying Lebron is going to Chicago when this whole time ive been saying NYK 1st, NJ 2nd.

And don't tell me Nets fans aren't pissed as hell. I actually live in NJ unlike you who are from the Maryland/DC area. I've been listening to the radio shows since the season began and Nets fans have been looking forward to the #1 pick and John Wall since they knew the season was over. Everyone assumed it was a foregone conclussion the Nets would have the #1 pick, get Wall then hopefully get Lebron. Thats what Nets fans have been hoping for but that dream was just crushed.

I have a better insight as to what Nets & Knicks fans are thinking about since i listen to them every day on the radio and since i'm in the ticket business and have gone to my fair share of Nets games this season since i didnt have to pay for tickets as well as Knicks games.
The only thing we were hoping for were:

A-Prokhorov to FINALLY takeover the team from the Cheap *** Rat.
B-To have ANY sort of improvement over last year.

Everything else would come into place eventually.

You living in NJ doesn't give you any better access to info about them then me since I can/do access the same info you get via internet/family living close by so you can toss that out.

My issue already is with people saying "Oh the Nets' hopes are crushed, Brooklyn is dead" just because we don't have the number 1 pick, as if we can't get any better and as if Wall was going to be Deron Williams/Chris Paul The Sequel.

I mean of course when you finish with the worst record, you going to ASSUME you get the top pick in the Draft(I mean that's how it should work like it does in the NFL right?)so you can't blame them for thinking that?

Would it have been better to get that instead of #3? Of course, anyone would rather pick first. But me personally, I'm not crying the end of the world just because we didn't get it as seeing how that spot still wasn't going to fill in the holeS we have on this roster right now.

Right now, I expect plenty of other Nets Fans to be upset with it but after a while I expect people will start cool their *** down and see that we're getting a good-great player regardless, especially at a position that we REALLY need help at.

he has 2 maturity problems and you will see plenty clips of that come draft.

first he has a hard time controlling his emotions on the court. he will lose head or show some bad body language at times if things dont go his way.

second is his focus. he tunes coach cal out at times when he gets taken out of the game. i know theyre gonna show a clip when he tried to pump up the crowd at vandy and coach cal chewed him out bigtime. he only plays defense if his head is in the game.

Ted Leonis is changing things around already

Teddy took the Caps and we get Ovie.

Teddy takes the Wiz and we get Wall.
