The best move for the Nets is packaging their picks for a superstar sign and trade.

Oh i'm sorry, i guess i'm supposed to come on here and say everything is great because we dont want reality around here when the reality is disappointment for fans that have been disappointed the past few years.

Beating a man when he's down, go to other threads and you'll find plenty examples of beating a man while he's down like people getting on Lebron or other athletes. It happens, get over it. Everyone doesnt have to be positive about everything so that nobodies feelings are hurt.

I dont see anything wrong with predicting that they're going to take Cousins and predicting him as a bust if he can't control his emotions and mature when others have had that same thought. And i dont see a problem with saying that Nets fans are disappointed and being blunt about it, you cant tell me people at East Rutherford tonight werent thinking negative things after they didnt get the #1 pick.

There is nothing wrong with what ive said so you're getting on my case for no reason.
So like I said, your only purpose is to pour salt in Net fans wounds as PPM originally said. I really don't care if it's done in other threads but I guess that makes you think it's right? Being an *** for no reason is acceptable for some I guess.

As for getting on your case, if you get your panties all in a bunch over replies like these then maybe you should consider that just as you have the right to make posts that amount to nothing more than a Nelson "Ha ha!" everybody reading them has the right to reply.

oh and here are some of the comments from people on the article...

should i continue or do you get the point? People are either disappointed/upset about not getting the #1 pick or happy because they are mad at the franchise for leaving NJ.
I personally never said you were exaggerating, I said you were piling on for no reason... and you aren't really doing much to disprove that.

I've always rooted for the Bullets/Wizards but I've never been a "fan". Guys like Dixon and Blake loved their time on the Wiz bc they're so insignificant that it was the place they'd get the most love. Meanwhile a guy like Melo is a national star at the very least (likely international, especially after his Olympic performance). Not to mention, not once did he consider UMD, and this "area" is probably the main place he's considered a thug bc of the stop snitching nonsense. The only way I see Melo going to the Wiz would be if they broke the bank for him, and even then I'd still be shocked. I think Gay's a better possibility but not by much... Durant would be the most likely, but I'm not nearly as confident about it as Cebby.

They're both naturally C's though. Cousins can't really stretch the floor and I wonder about his quickness in guarding tweeners at PF. Lopez is better suited to be PF than Cousins.

Hell to the no at Lopez at the 4. Both of them would get abused somethin' serious trying to guard a PF just like Cousins possibly would, if everything is true about his quickness. But one need Cousins would DEFINITELY fill for us, which we need BADLY would be Rebounding because other than Lopez, we have nobody else who could crash the boards as well as Lopez.

I don't want to see Cousins come to the Nets. I'd rather have Favors. A young front line of Favors, Williams, and Lopez sounds good.

Haven't really looked but is there a drop off at some point?

Depending on what happens with Howard and how they feel about Thorton, I think it may be a good idea to grab 3 guys... unless there's a serious drop off in talent somewhere in the middle of the first round.

Seems like a lot of analysts believe there will be a lot of trades and moving up/down on draft night. The consensus is that picks 15-40 are a huge crap shoot so some teams will want to move down and/or acquire more picks.

I still think the Knicks will buy Memphis' 1st rounder and try to package their two early 2nd round picks to move up to the mid first round range. No idea if anyone would bite though. Although there is no one in that range that really excites me, not sure if it's worth it. Almost better off taking a few stabs with later picks instead of only having one mid first rounder.

Like I said, Arenas is not going anywhere, Arenas is willing to move over to the 2, while John Wall play 1. We really need a big man. Hope to grab something with our other 1st pick and early 2nd..3 picks in the 34 picks..could come with 3 good players. Wouldn't mind getting Eubanks from WV.

Get a vet big man in free agency. David Lee rings a bell.

Hope we re-sign Josh Howard back, it's reported that he's ahead of schedule. So hope he be ready so he can be our starting SF

I think after Monroe (Gtown bias of course) the talent drops off big-time. Right now I've seen Patrick Patterson slated to go between 8 & 11 on a couple of drafts and no offense to Pat or UK fans but he is not that good. There are lot of young guys (College FR/Soph) that the verdict is still out on. Guys like Xavier Henry, Hassan Whiteside, Solomon Alabi, Bledsoe mixed in with older players like Patterson, Damion James, Stanley Robinson that have major flaws in their games.

A couple mocks have us taking Ebanks from WVU followed up by Dominique Jones (USF)/Quincy Pondexter (Wash). I like Jones but if Gil moves to the 2 there won't be any minutes for him because of Nick Young. I don't like either Ebanks or Pondexter.

Yeah, trading up to get into the middle of this year's draft doesn't seem that smart. Maybe taking a chance on Orton from UK but I have a feeling you'll just be developing him for the next team if he's any good. We already have a C project in McGee so Whiteside/Alabi would seem like overkill.

Kiki was going to be gone anyway because his contract was set to expire at the end of the month I believe. Dont know if they plan to bring in another GM or if Thorn will go the Assistant route again like he did with Kiki. Somebody will take him(and Yi of course).

Ted wants more 1st round picks

On getting more picks in the draft: I'd like more first round picks. I wouldn't be surprised if you see us figure out a way to collect more, because I do think we are in a rebuilding mode. I don't think we need to be unabashed about that. We don't have a lot of players under contract, so we might as well try to create a system and a culture using young players, then using free agency and trades to augment those core young players. That's something that we've done fairly well with the Caps. We haven't had as much success yet in the playoffs, but we've built around the draft and we've used free agency and made trades, but you've got to have that young core that you believe in and the fans fall in love withd Leonis wants more 1st round picks

We only have 6 players under contract and that's Gilbert,McGee,Thornton,Young,Blatche, and Ross
