Big deal. Pippen was the man for like a sseason or two, I dont recall a championship, or even invidual records being shattered. He is a support player, like a gusol, artest, fisher, Rhondo, Pierce, etc. He will never be one of the all time greats. Jordan made Pippen get twice the recognition he got elsewhere. Hes a B to a B+ player in my book. Had maybe 2 A- seasons. Sorry to disagree

They lost to the East Champions in 7 games.

You will never, ever find a team that loses its best player (who happens to be the GOAT) for nothing, gets the third to last pick in the third round, and then proceeds to do that well.

What do the 2009 Cavs have to do with anything? If the 2009 Cavs won 66 games without Lebron or acquired Wade or Paul in the offseason it would be comparable, but they won 66 games with a full roster.

The Bulls that you claim had at best a B+ Pippin won 55, went to the second round and took the EC champs to 7 who took the NBA champs to 7 without their best player which again they got 0 compensation for.

This whole argument is moot because it has lost perspective. With Jordan the bulls won six chips in a row. Without they didn't make the finals. Since they were such dominant champs, it's hard to quantify just how great they were save to say that they were far and above the best team in the league at the time.

Cant really use the Cavs as a logical base for comparison.

Look at the Dolphins game this past Sunday against the Steelers or any Florida Marlins game. Don't get me wrong, there's good fans there -- AS THERE ARE IN EVERY CITY -- but a strong fan base in Miami? No. Just having a franchise there is enough.

C'mon dude. What other city has had more heartbreak, sports-wise, than that city? I thought it'd be worse. I'm impressed by the support the Cavaliers got on their opening night.

A few drunk people burning jerseys means they've treated LeBron poorly? Get real. There was a gigantic mural of the man across the street. He was treated as a king and a lot of people still look fondly at the enjoyment he brought to the city.

I know biting sarcasm is your "thing", but in this case it is to the point of inaccuracy. While he was on that team, Cleveland supported and embraced him and the winning with a desperate adoration. How they treated him after he was no longer a part of that team has no bearing on how much they "deserve" a winning team.

Some of the actions of Clevelanders was disgraceful, over the top and disrespectful, no doubt, but that's a separate topic. It's no secret that Miami is not a great or even good basketball city. Mostly populated with, as someone put it "fairweather transplants". Which is true. I remember in the New York/Miami 90s rivalries, there'd be so many New Yorkers in the crowd that it was almost like a home game for the Knicks.
