There's nothing 'tough' about chippy play or Charles Smith. Yet, here we are, celebrating the New York Knicks run in the 90's which was punctuated by gaffes, by stupidity in the heat of moments, by the fact that they never clutched up and won a chip, yet LeBron James is lambasted because of the rose tinted glasses world of NBA fans who can't reconcile some short sighted fact.

What stupid decision did LeBron make? Isn't his team second in the Eastern conference and his old one in the cellar? Are we talking about the dumb decisions that Dan Gilbert, a man who lashed out because he bought an NBA franchise as a Howard Schultz vanity project and constant ATM thanks to James being there lashing out because his horrible management lost out on its investment? Would it be better if he did it with a Miami newspaper? Sorry, but Comic Sans man had this coming. He was the one who wanted to use PR to tear a man who made him hundreds of millions of dollars down in a childish fit.
Again WTF does LeBron chipping in against Clevleand have to do with the rivalries of old in the NBA? How is it funny that guys miss good rivalries between teams in the NBA and guys going out there and seriously competing in the league like they use to, but have a problem with LeBron being bitchmade and pulling all the BS he has in the last year and then acting like he's done absolutely nothing wrong to make people dislike him? People disliked people back during the rivalries too. People hated Dennis Rodman, Charles Oakley, Alonzo Mourning. Difference being they tended to hate them for things they did on the court, who gives a **** if they didn't have computers back then, if they did and they were acting like LeBron did now, it'd be the same story. When people bring up that **** it's stupid as hell considering the fact it makes no point whatsoever. People were more anal and uptight about things back then than they are now so if the same technology existed it'd be either the same kind of reactions or worse so what the hell does it matter that they didn't have the stuff or not.

Right. What I was getting at was that half the people are saying how both the Jets and LBJ's tweet are classless, they should keep quiet and blah blah blah. To me, this kinda stuff makes the games all that much more interesting. Maybe I'm a drama queen lol.

I do hope LBJ reaches Cromartie's level some day and tweets that Gilbert is an a-hole lol.

Nah I hear you on that man.

Me personally, I didn't have an issue with it but that has more to do with the fact that he's basically admitted he's an ***hole now and doesn't care about what others think of him now. I prefer him to play "this role" as opposed to the "I don't understand why everyone hates me now" crap he was spitting out before this week.

I just hope he starts going in on fellow NBA Players as well. He's already went this far so he might as well start targetting the players who had a problem with "The Decision" and said so publically lol

But I will say this though: People that say they don't give a crap what people/ the h a t e r s think about them....99.9% of the time, they're spittin' BS on that LOL.

I get what you're saying in the Jets case, but how does it make Cleveland games better?

(not directed to you) How does it relate to people wanting to see rivalries back in the NBA? So it's the same thing as having like the classic Knicks/Heat rivalry to have LeBron and the Heat vs. the JV Cavs? It's completely different cause it's nothing about the basketball. At the heart of all those rivalries was the basketball, this is just LeBron being a bitter douche about a self inflicted gunshot wound.

Exactly when did I say Rodman didn't have off court issues? I just said the hate came more from what they did on the court. People didn't start hating Dennis Rodman cause of **** in his personal life or anything like that (granted that became a reason to continue to hate him and diss him) but it started from his play on the court.

In the immediate future it can't/won't because the Cavs are so horrible, unless they finally grow a pair and someone lays out LBJ for his tweet. Their next meeting will be interesting, I'll keep my eye on it. I probably wouldn't have paid attention at all if it wasn't for LBJ's tweet to be honest.

Yeah see you're thinking about later Dennis Rodman. Dennis Rodman became hated before he started dying his hair and the piercings and tatoos and all that other stuff. He was hated for being part of the Bad Boys Pistons and again his play that was considered dirty, cheap shots, things that he did that got under other players' skins. Like I said, sure after he went to SA and started dying his hair and all the other crap he did like the wedding dress to promote his book, yeah that just came more reason for people to hate him and diss him back then, but it didn't start because of that.
