I thought his interview with Rachel Nichols was interesting. Him not wanting to be perceived as a "villain" anymore and wanting to bring the joy back to his game. I'm curious to see how this manifests on the court.

I won't waste my time rooting for him or the Heat to fail or not win a title anymore(wasted a year doing that already)but he needs to make up his damn mind as to what he wants people to perceive him as.

A year ago, he said he would embrace the role of the villian and then after that he said that he doesn't understand why they are hated and THEN he said it's something he just to deal with and NOW he said he doesn't want to be perceived as a villian anymore?

                MAKE UP YOUR MIND MAN!!!!

                  Re: The LeBron James Thread

that was a great interview IMO.

I felt that LeBron finally admitted to the world that all the hate affected him and he isn't this super human tough guy, but rather a normal person who's talented at basketball

He admitted his mistakes and admitted that he wasn't able to be a game changer in the finals like he normally is. Very unlebron like for him to do that

Hopefully he stays honest, shows that he is human. And he'll start to gain more fans back

I regained a lot of respect for him from what he said in that interview. Because really everybody could tell that he doesnt have the mental power to be "the villain" the way Kobe or MJ would.

Great interview LeBron. Keep this up and people will begin to forgive you

That's all I was looking for lebron. I might never be a fan of his again but I'm certainly not "hating" on him anymore. (still might drop the occasional lebron chokes joke though)

I still can't root for him. For many reasons.

Regarding the interview, the guy flip flops more than Obama.

I don't hate the guy at all anymore. I was rooting for the Heat in last years Finals. I won't be mad when he finally wins a ring, as long as it's not against the Lakers.

Same here. I don't blame the Cavs fans for being angry, but I thought the national hate for him was over the top. He's a good guy in general. He just showed poor judgment with The Decision. As he continues to mature as a man, I'm sure he'll look back at his earlier years and shake his head at some of the things he's done. Just like we all do.

                                That was a great interview.

I guess I missed where hes done so much "flip flopping"? Was there a point last year where he said "I want to be liked"?

I definitely remember him talking about embracing being a villian...which as he said in the interview, isnt him. We all know that. Kobe could be a villian, thats his personality, not Brons.

Good to see him grow as a person, and he learned the valuable lesson that if you are laughing with them, the joke isnt funny anymore.

I had no reason to hate him in the first place, Im a Spurs fan, im worried about MY team, so ill root for him to succeed as long as he isnt playing us.
