I don't understand the argument you're making against LeBron. Are you saying he's not playing the best in the league right now? Or are you saying his "legacy" thus far is underwhelming?

no he is the best player in the league right now. that is obvious. and no his legacy isnt underwhelming. he is arguably a HOF right now on what he has done so far.

that being said, it is what it is, nothing more nothing less. meaning his legacy is only what he has actually accomplished up to this point, not what folks project him to accomplish in the future.

im saying that imo ppl are always giving him future love for stuff he hasnt actually earned yet.

also i was saying that you cant say he is dominating the league with only 1 championship. because why would i care if you were dominating the league if at the end of the yr im holding the trophy. in reality he's been dominating the league for a while now, yet he only has 1 ring to show for it.

atleast thats how i see it anways. everybody is may differ tho.

fair enough if i miss undestood you...

but we seem to have short memories,

after the nba PR machine built lebron up to win the championship every yr his last 3yrs in cleveland and him failing to do so; the nba PR machine was laying the groundwork to hand over the entire league to KD.

if lebron loses in the finals, the league PR machine was ready to write off and move on without him.

he's only truly been King for less than 1 full yr. the rest of his story is yet unwritten.

he's been to the finals every year since he's been there and is 1 for 2 so far. He might win 4 more in a row for all we know.

and seeing as the "immortal" Kobe Bryant lost in his first finals appearance with out Shaq I'm sure you'll understand..

The Facts are that Lebron is still in his prime and has not completed his career so we shouldn't jump to conclusions just yet on what excuses he can or can't use.

kash miss me with the kobe talk, your the same person who said you hated te lakers since '96. what you hate kobe in highschool? maybe your hatred goes back to the fact he took brandy to the prom. in other words, how the hell you been hating on kobe since '96.

i was saying that while lebron is the best player in the nba, i disagree that he is dominating the league. because he only has 1 ring.

i was also pointing out that, he has been dominating the regualr season for prolly the last 5yrs now. 3-cleveland, 2-miami.

ppl say his cavs teams were not very good, yet going into the playoffs the last 5 yrs the media and nba experts have picked lebron's team to go to the finals. after the fact everybody says how cleveland wasnt good enough. but the PR machine, tried to sell us that lebron was going to the be 1st superstar to win a championship without other great players around him. then after it didnt happen, it was well of course he didnt win, his teammates werent good enough.

but again for the last 5 yrs his teams are the 1s being picked as the favorite to get to the finals and win a chip.

so my pov is how can ppl say that he is dominating the league when for the last 5 yrs, the team that he has been on has been picked as the favorite to get to the finals and win. yet still he only has 1 ring to show for it.

i dont know about yall but when everyone in the media picks your team to go to the finals and somebody else ends up hoisting the trophy, that is not what i call dominating the nba.

now you dont have to agree, but hopefully that atleast clears it up for you.

2nd part. imo it's between him, cap and jordan. i think they all have atleast 6.

does lebron need 6, prolly not depending on some other factors. but he atleast needs 4 imo.

also im saying that lebron's mindset should be to get 7. not say that championships are not everything. i just dont like him saying that. you got GOAT talent, he should be shooting for GOAT status, and then if he comes up short other folks can sort it out

This all just makes less sense right now. You say you only care about rings. The last chance he had to win a ring he did, and was the MVP. You make it sound like he won a ring 5 years ago and has failed every year since. Since winning his ring he's playing at an insanely high level. You don't want to project into the future so lets also not keep bringing up too far in the past. Right now, he is dominating the league.

I've criticized Lebron as much as anyone but this is a stretch.

I don't think LeBron was necessarily trying to remove himself from further disappointment if he didn't win more rings (though I'm sure he might have thought about it some).

I think he was trying to also give credit to the great players that never won a ring.

To judge LeBron soley on championships is mostly picky. I personally think the argument "Kobe only had five compared to Jordan's six" the weakest argument to use when fans ultimately decide to ridiculously compare the two.

Should we assume that Charles Barkley or Karl Malone deserve no accolades or mentions as possibly two of the greatest 4s in league history simply because they had no ring?

I think LeBron was deflecting further criticisms by bringing up the question of being judged solely by rings.

Key word solely.
