True, he didn't make a blanket racial statement, and he isn't a senile old man. He personally attacked LeBron's character, calling him a coward and a traitor, and then took down the letter like a week ago and saying he didn't know it was still up lol. He personally disrespected him

Did LeBron handle it the right way? No
No one in that situation was right. People need to move on and realize at the end of the day these are two men trying to do business. And 9/10 LeBron will probably own that team. So LeBron will be the winner all the way around. The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.Comment

No announcement from James at 3:34. Police officers remain. Again, they were told to be prepared for 3:30 announcement. It didn't come.

The source on 3:30 stuff isn't some big secret by the way. It's an Akron police officer. He repeated to me instructions from superiors.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I agree with Scoop from the ownership, don't win anything for Gilbert. Come back and buy the Cavs and win that way. Public disrespect, he should publically apologize. I think LeBron should go back to Miami and say he just couldn't play for Gilbert, just to make the Cavs riot and hate Gilbert. Then everyone gets equal vitriol
If he were to go that route he should have came out and issued a statement a LONG time ago that he had no intention of going to Cleveland this year. Scoop is thinking with his emotions. A real businessman doesn't lower himself to that pettiness. The league would find a way to screw LeBron over in some way down the line if he did that. Especially if he wants to be a owner down the line. The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
That does nothing for anyone. LeBron becomes even more hated and Gilbert would look like the victim. I agree Gilbert should apologize but LeBron sinking to that level is beyond being immature. That does nothing for his image in a positive way.

WOJ BOMB
Cavs pressed Celtics/Nets officials to complete paperwork on 3-way trade in last hour, needed it done "immediately." Cap space is clear now.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Is Gilbert not a real business man then? LeBron doesn't need Gilbert at ALL. His business is doing just fine down in Miami. Screw business, LeBron is a man. He was publically disrespected, I'm sure there are a lot of people that would lose respect for someone who went back to someone who talked to them like that.
Past feelings can be easily pushed aside when it comes to business. Any business man worth a anything knows this. James and Gilbert both have a lot to gain by coming together again.
Yes, his brand is doing just fine in Miami, but a case can be made it will increase in Cleveland.
Hometown kid comes back home to "make things right". The public eats it up, and James who cares how said public views him, is suddenly seen as the good guy again by the vast majority. All because he "made things right".Comment

All I'm saying is that in the grand scheme of things if LeBron handles this situation the way Scoop wants him too then LeBron has much more to lose than Gilbert in the long haul. Owners look out for one another. If he screws over The Cavs like that then he can pretty much guarantee himself having a extremely hard time becoming a owner in the NBA. For him to pull a stunt like that would be unprofessional.
Again not saying Gilbert wasn't unprofessional. But LeBron should be the bigger guy. That would be like Magic going hard at Sterling. Magic to the higher road. I hope LeBron does the same. The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.Comment
