Re: The LeBron James Thread
Now that could be considered disrespectful but part of the appeal of the Decision was the element of surprise. Not knowing where Bron was going. You think the Cavs wouldve held on to that info if Bron and his team told them before? Hell no. Gilbert wouldve leaked that **** immediately as a **** you to Lebron.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
And people STILL would have watched that **** just to see for themselves if he had the balls to do it on national television. Not like he had to tell them who he was going to sign with any way. All he had to do was have his face to face with Dan and tell him straight up that he 'appreciated everything he did for he and his family, the Cavs would always have a special place with him and would always be home no matter what, but he felt it was time to move on and follow his heart and take a chance somewhere else.' There done. Did right by the Cavs and preserved the appeal of the Decision to see where he would go. I highly doubt Dan Gilbert would have fired off the kind of letter he did had LeBron taken that route.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Hey King, isn't this what you've been saying about this regarding how they got together?
Nearly two years later, the whispers in the back of the bus rolling through Beijing had become the loudest statement in free-agency history.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Well according to Woj, he did call them. The Cavs werent blindsided. Dan wasnt blindsided and he still wrote that letter. He was just mad about all of the things he did for Bron and the fact that Bron still wanted to leave.

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Do teams call in advance before they cut players? I don't think LeBron owed the Cavs organization anything, it just sucks the fans had to watch him leave like thatOriginally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

He called him a traitor. That has no connection to time or how someone was let down.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I don't care what anybody says, none of those teams had a shot as long as Wade was already in Miami. It was the best location of the three teams they were already on, so it was Wade giving Riley an inside track. Other teams were trying to clear cap space sure, but they were trying to stay competitive while doing so. Riley knew what was up though the whole time which is why he completely threw everything out the window with those D-League rosters he was trotting out there.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Exactly. You go to the GM's office and he says you have been let go. Same happens when you get traded. Its funny that we hold players up to a higher standard than executives.Comment

Come on Lebron, go ahead and make your decision so we can all get back to our "poor unhappy lives".
