Delonte was worse last year, and either hasn't recovered from his personal situations or is having internal problems with the teams(momsgate). Mo needs to be a playoff performer and has not proven to have the ability to win ANY matchup in the postseason. Andy is great, but I didn't mention him. I thought you didn't like Hickson's defnese and thought him to be very overrated? Boobie? Seriously? Telfair isn't anywhere in the rotation. Haven't seen anything out of Danny Green to indicate he is a major piece on a championship team.

I don't think Parker can be the starting shooting guard on a championship team unless they are loaded. He and Moon will contribute, but I don't think any of the above compares to Orlando's situation. Most important is that Mo doesn't show up in the playoffs, Jamison has yet to work out and even if he does, he's on the wrong end of his career to be paired up with a 25 year old stud. So your best two players are really Lebron and Andy, then Jamison and Mo. Orlando is still loaded, with people ready to contribute from all places. Their only problems are Vince and Rashard. For my money, they can solve the Rashard problem by starting Ryan Anderson and just investing in him over the course of an 82 game season. He'll be a fine roleplayer in a year or two.

I can't believe people still think this is true. SMH.

Anyways, mostly spot on post there.

I agree about Parker in that I don't think he's a starter on a championship team either. He can be a solid bench player on a championship team, but not a starter.

I think we can still work with Mo, I'm just not sure he's a starter to be honest. I think he'd fit much better in a Jason Terry type role where he's the 6th man and can come in and play PG/SG. The reason I don't think Mo is a starter is because his defense is horrible. Aside from the team basically quitting against Boston, Mo was the next biggest reason that series was lost because he just couldn't defend Rondo at all.

I don't think we can close the book on Jamison since he barely had any time to get adjusted to the team and with Mike Brown's rotations, there was never much of a chance to develop chemistry.

I don't know how good Danny Green can or will be but Hickson was in the same position as him last year and once he got some run he proved to be a solid player. Maybe Danny can do the same but right now no one knows.

But in the end, the difference between the Cavs and the Magic is that the Magic are young and have assets. We're older and have barely any assets. Because of the fact that there is really no assets on the Cavs roster for them to go out and improve the team, I think LeBron is gone. I hope he isn't, but that's what I feel.

Hmmm I don't know dude. Maybe I've read him completely wrong, but Mo seems like a guy that would be an even bigger problem if you ripped his starter status from him. I think there's pretty much no hope for Mo at this point, he is what he is and it's not going to change. If you put Mo on the bench and expect him to be cool with that and produce better than he currently has in the playoffs, he may just sink that team there too only worse.

Hickson has a chemistry with LeBron that's sick. On his own, JJ is a bum, IMO. West is probably gone, but Boobie played very well when Mo was out, and only Mike Browns insisntence on size had Gib on the bench. Also, Bron wanted the Cavs to draft Telfair, and he looked good in limited minutes. They've been close for years, which means he will get a shot at the rotation, so don't count him out. And again, Mo was the 4rth option in the playoffs. The fourth. Not saying he tore it up, but then again, we know a player can shoot a sh*itty % in the playoffs and still win, right? Mo had 2 very good games out of the 5. Mo "Dissapearing" is cliche. In that case, Shard didn't even put his uniform on, lol.

If JJ Redick and Ryan Anderson are suddenly championship pieces, JJ and Bassy are too.

I agree Mo seems to be that guy but at the same time he literally begged the Cavs not to trade him on Twitter and with a 6th man role, he'd still be getting upwards of 20 minutes a game most games. And on a team with LeBron, it's not like his voice would hold much weight if he did start complaining.

What? Nothing is official or has been said by LeBron himself. At this point everything is just rumors and speculation.

Source: Trio talk free agency scenarios

                          ESPN.com

<!-- template inline -->A modified version of the ballyhooed free-agent summit that was initially suggested and then downplayed by Dwyane Wade has indeed taken place, ESPN.com has learned.

Sources close to the situation said Monday night that three of the biggest names in basketball -- Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James -- met over the weekend in Miami to seriously discuss their futures, with a focus on the increasingly plausible possibility of those three teaming up with Wade's Heat.

Yet sources with knowledge of the meeting stressed to ESPN.com that James, while clearly intrigued by the possibility of forming a star-studded Miami trio with Wade and Bosh, has not yet committed to leaving his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers for South Beach.

One source did label Miami as the new frontrunner to land James in a package deal with Bosh and a re-signed Wade but also cautioned that James was "non-committal" with the start of free agency fast approaching.

Sources said James remains committed to fielding free-agent pitches from several teams when free agency officially opens Thursday at 12:01 a.m. ET, with the Chicago Bulls continuing to rank as a highly appealing destination and a return to Cleveland still figuring prominently in his thinking and with the Dallas Mavericks looming as an intriguing outsider.

Earlier Monday, Fox Sports Radio's Stephen A. Smith reported on his morning radio show and via his Twitter feed that James and Bosh have committed to joining Wade in Miami. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel newspaper, in a report on its website Monday afternoon, quoted a source close to Wade as saying that the 2006 NBA Finals MVP "believes his team is poised to pull off a free-agency coup" by signing James and Bosh and re-signing Wade.

Unless Miami trades away former No. 2 overall pick Michael Beasley to a team with salary-cap space, so it can avoid taking salary back, Heat president Pat Riley will not be able to offer the estimated 2010-11 maximum salary of $16.5 million to all three Team USA stars.

But sources told ESPN.com that James, Wade and Bosh all expressed confidence at the meeting that contractual complexities to make this ambitious triple signing work can be worked out, although it was not immediately clear if all three players would receive an equal amount or if one or two would receive the max. Another variable is whether Bosh would be willing to sign with the Heat outright or if he wants to hold out for a sign-and-trade.

Toronto Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo acknowledged Monday for the first time in a radio interview with the Fan590 in Toronto that "it's becoming more and more clear" that the prospect of Bosh re-signing with the Raptors is "not going to happen." But sources close to the situation have maintained for months that Bosh was likely to work with the Raptors on a sign-and-trade if he ultimately decided to leave in free agency, thereby ensuring that Toronto doesn't lose him without compensation and enabling Bosh to get an extra year on his contract potentially worth as much as $30 million.

Sources insisted, meanwhile, that other scenarios were discussed at the weekend meeting apart from the Miami plan. One source said James' admiration for Bulls legend Michael Jordan is such that he is determined to hear Chicago's pitch later this week, keeping alive the possibility that both James and Bosh could still wind up together with the Bulls.

In that scenario, sources said, James and Bosh would join Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah in Chicago, while Wade would hope to be joined in Miami by close friend Carlos Boozer, who was not at the meeting.

Sources said James, furthermore, has not ruled out staying with the Cavaliers. Although Cleveland does not have the financial flexibility or the trade assets to import Bosh or Wade and enhance its chances of retaining this summer's face of free agency, James is a proud Ohioan who is said to be still wrestling with the notion of leaving his home state, no matter how enticing the possibilities are in Miami and Chicago.

The Sun-Sentinel reported that Wade is also exploring his options by planning free-agent sitdowns in coming days with the Bulls and Mavericks. ESPN.com had previously reported that Wade and Bosh are scheduled to be in New York on Friday for separate recruiting visits with the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets.

It was not immediately clear, as details of the Miami option emerged, whether Riley intends to stay in his front-office role and let coach Erik Spoelstra return for his third season or if, say, James urges the 65-year-old to return to the bench for a third stint coaching the Heat.

Man this is getting more and more annoying here. It's like everyone is just saying things to say things every single day and even during the course of a single day. SAS comes out saying Miami is a done deal despite Chicago having been a done deal, allegedly, then later in the day Byron Scott says sources say it's 50/50 he's staying with the Cavs, now by the end of the night Miami is the frontrunner without even having moved Beasley who is the key to this whole super team stuff. I can't wait until the contracts are signed and this can end. I'd rather hear all the crying, moaning and doubting what team can do what this season with their new pieces than keep seeing this kind of stuff.
