What SG can they get though? So far Joe Johnson has expressed interest in the Heat. The idea of playing in Chicago or with LBJ doesn't seem to do much for JJ.

Rudy Gay isn't a 2G and the next best SG is an aging Ray Allen or former Bull Johnny Salmons.

Ray Allen splitting time with Kirk wouldn't be bad.

Plus the Bulls will add a Damion James/James Anderson/Xavier Henry in the draft.

Really all your asking your 2 to do is knock down an open jumpshot and play some defense.

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread

Damion James is small forward who showed more tendencies of a face-up PF than a SG. Xavier Henry, from what I saw at Kansas, isn't NBA-ready.

I know the Bulls won't need much from their 2G but based on the options that are out there it's likely that Hinrich is going to be seeing the most minutes at the 2 next year because there aren't better alternatives outside of Ray Ray and who knows what his crazy salary demands will be. Chicago won't waste that other cap space on Ray if he wants a lot of $, he's declining too quickly.

All I'm saying is that their 2G situation and what they'll be able to do with it this summer isn't going to put them into the title favorites for 2010-11 even if they sign LBJ.

            Rose, James, Deng, PF, Noah

Deng is a legit NBA starter and borderline all-star when healthy. If the Bulls get LeBron, they should look next to getting a low-post scoring threat, not a shooting guard. A playmaker coming off the bench should then be their next priority

Deng is the least Athletic starting SF in the NBA. He can't create anything for himself.

Dude is brutal on D and slightly above average on O, when he's playing well.

That lineup has zero outside shooting.

Just think if the Bulls Kept Ben Gordon and let Deng Walk. DURRRRRRRR! Paxson is such a stupid gm.

How bout the idea of Doug Collins coaching Lebron and the Bulls - Winning the bunch of championships he should have 20 years ago.

^ Both are equally horrible on D but at least Gordon is an explosive scorer, or was at least. Detroit fans may beg to differ!

He'll make money anywhere as you pointed out but he would make more based on marketing in a market such as NY.
It wouldn't produce more revenue for someone who already has his face plastered all over Time Square, China, the tv, internet, etc. We're not talking about driving into Dallas and seeing a billboard of Dirk... but not seeing him anywhere else besides on game day. There's pretty much nothing NYC can do for Lebron financially. Just like everywhere else, the city needs him more than he needs the city.

We all need to stop talking like it's fact one way or the other (or anywhere in between) because none of us know how it'll turn out financially if he does go there.
People aren't talking about contract money, though what they are talking about isn't a factor. In terms of contracts, nobody can offer him more than the Cavs and I can't see them being outbid.

True. BUT if James is coming to the Bulls Deng will not be in the starting line up. He'd either be traded or he's coming off the bench.

I can see the Bulls either signing Ray Allen Or trading for a guy like Kyle Korver. I'd prefer Allen but if Boston ends up winning the championship this year, chances are he's going to re-sign with Boston or retire.

I'm still waiting for someone to give me a legitimate reason for anyone to take Luol Deng and his horrible contract in a trade.

I'm still sticking with the Clippers. Unless the Lakers could pull off that joke sign & trade someone mentioned.

He must have the sense to realize NY,NJ and Miami won't get him anything much better than he's had in Cleveland. He might get himself a Pippen but still needs a Grant,Kerr & Armstrong or Rodman,Kukoc & Harper, yes Kerr was on those too just didn't want to use him twice.

Bulls would be second, they're set up pretty well too but it's still in the East and I think he might wanna jump sides. Wouldn't blame him if he didn't wanna see the Celtics or Magic again in the playoffs until the finals.

I'm not sure what scenario would have him going to OKC but that would easily be the best option depending how that works out. Pretty sure it's not a straight signing and they'd have to trade someone away.
