Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread

Whatever happens, below is a great article. Life will go on if LeBron leaves Cleveland.

Will Cleveland be an even more miserable place if LeBron James leaves? If you think so, you don't know the people of Northeast Ohio.

You guys know what PP is referring to, right? This past season, when CP3 hurt his knee, he had his meniscus removed. Not repaired, removed. It's bone on bone now. If that doesn't shorten his career tremendously, we should rename him the 6 million dollar man.

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread

Jalen Rose sources say LeBron is gone. Must be true..

im tired of all this crap.. i understand LeBron wants to see whats out there etc. but im a Cavs fan, not a drama fan, not a LeBron fan. im a cavs fan!!

to be honest, give me the Bobby Suras, Darius Miles, Ricky Davis, Tyrone Hill, John Battle, Brevin Knight, Terrell Brandons etc of the world over this stupid drama!!

if Lebron really wanted to win here in Cleveland IMO, he would have signed when he could last year, and let it be known he wants someone to come in and help out!! but nope..

i hope he goes to the Clippers if he doesnt sign back with the Cavs.. have him out west, compete with Kobe in LA and have the Knicks fans say again, LeBron will be a Knick (enter year here when contract is up)..

i just want some drama free Cavs basketball!!

Wow. I have never seen so many people put so much negative energy towards a bad team. A lot of people have really been kicking the Knicks when they are down. Knicks haven't won a championship in forever, nor have they done anything to anyone. Just a bad team clearing cap space, targeting the free agents, yet people are like "I don't care where Lebron goes, as long as he's not a Knick."

I could see if every Knicks fan was talking as if he was guaranteed. I could see if management really put all of their eggs in that basket. People are dumping on the Knicks over and over because a few media people have been stirring it up to get web hits and newspaper sales.

          SMH.

It's because Knicks fans aren't realistic to their situation. They've been subpar for the last 8 years and they feel LeBron is going to make them title contenders all of a sudden. Now getting him will definately make them a better team BUT I'd still hold off on those Finals tickets until some more moves are made. Then, they also assume that if they get LeBron that Bosh is going to follow. Even though the media has hyped it up, signing LeBron does not guarantee Bosh.

Give me a break. No one on here has said anything like that. And really, no one anywhere has said give us Lebron and we are champions.

As for Bosh, you have it completely backwards. People pair them up because if we don't get Bosh, we aren't going to get Lebron.

If there is anybody in this world who know where LeBron is going outside of LeBron himself and his agent(who is good friends with Wesley) World Wide Wes would know.
Wes is not going to have a hand in where LeBron goes. I know you want to believe that because that'd mean the Bulls hired Thib because Wes and LeBron told them too, but LeBron is goign to be the only one who makes his decision.

Wes is gonna have a huge say in the LBJ decision. Because he has the power to influence GM/Owners/Free Agents.

I think the Thib hiring was just to keep the bulls in the running, plus who else where they gonna hire?

That's why I stated that he's fooling you guys to make him think that he doesn't have a hand in the process. And he's doing a real good job of it. Why do you think ESPN did a story on this guy in regards to the LeBron free agency? ESPN wouldn't think much of this guy if he didn't have some type of influence. NOW, you can bash ESPN all you want but I just feel that they wouldn't be wasting their time if he had nothing to do with it.

And as far as him guiding him to Chicago and them hiring Thib, well I can wish? But in reality, I'm not sure if Wes is directing James to Chicago. Maybe he'll steer him back to Cleveland. We don't know. That's why he's doing such a good job of throwing people off. And as far as Thib, he would have been hired anyway. LeBron or no LeBron.

If guys like Rick Patino and Jim Beohim, two coaches respected on the college as well as the NBA level, says that he's one of the most powerful men in basketball. Then I agree with them. Patino also stated in the ESPN interview that if a GM is thinking about signing LeBron and they didn't call Wes then their chances of getting him is not good.

That's all that us New Yorkers really ask for. Just give us a competent playoff team with a chance to win and the basketball mecca can deal. This terrible season after terrible season stuff has gone on long enough.

First off, I don't think anyone on this message board has said that. Secondly, if one or two people did, it is a big leap to claim that all Knicks fans feel that way. There are plenty of reasonable Knicks fans on here who have done the same thing every fan of a team with cap space has done: hope for the best. Please show me evidence of all these Knicks fans claiming we're going to be in the Finals next year. I'm in NYC right now, and no one is saying that.

You're off base on that one. If Lebron signs with the Knicks, Bosh or Amar'e would almost certainly follow. They see playing with Lebron as an opportunity, and both players really want to go to either New York or Miami for various reasons. Bosh and Amar'e have the most to gain out of all the top level free agents, because they are lagging behind in endorsements, and unlike global icon Bron, they don't have the sneaker contracts and peripheral earnings that New York could offer them.

I'd like an answer to this as well. So far as I know. all three do what is in their best interests as far as money, their career and winning, probably in that order.
