You mean that little fade away of his? I've seen that plenty. I've seen how he has to use it to score on someone like Manu Ginobli.

I've also seen Dirk be completely absent on the glass. Leaving all the board work to Haywood and Dampier is further proof to me.

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread

I don't get the comparisons between a 7' power forward, obviously with power forward responsibilities and a 6'10'' small forward who mainly plays on the perimeter. They would both be on the court at the same time, hopefully being complementary players.

I'd say Gallo would be the perfect complement to a power forward commanding double team attention, and a slasher of LBJ or Wade's caliber threatening the rim at any given point. If the other team puts a 6'10'' player on the court to matchup with Gallo then he'd better be agile because Gallo isn't exactly slow and lumbering. And if they make the 4 or 5 close out on Gallo then ****....Amar'e and LBJ would have a field day in the paint and at the line from late, cheap, fouls.

lol yes he likes to pump fake and fade away, and it has been one of the most successful moves in the NBA. However that is not the only move in his arsenal.

the facts dont back up your statements. Its obvious you havent watched many Mavs games at all

anyway, back to the topic at hand

Regular season games? No I haven't. True enough.

Post season? Yes. I've seen many.

And he vanishes and gives nothing on the boards or D. He shies away from the paint like it's poison. A 7 footer that gives you neither puts a strain on your whole team.

You don't win many seven game series with Dirk as your best player. The Mavs past seasons have already provided proof enough.

          So yeah, back to LeBron.

            I doubt that

fact: Dirk's career postseason numbers are higher than his career regular season numbers. He raises his game in the playoffs. Folks who follow the Mavs know this.

fact: Dirk is one of 5 players in the history of the NBA to average at least 25 points and 10 rebounds a game (Dirk averages 25.5 and 11.2 in the postseason). The other 4 players are Shaq, Hakeem, Elgin Baylor, Bob Pettit (all HOF'ers or future HOF).

fact: Dirk has led the postseason in rebounding twice

fact: Dirk's rebounding was down this past season (perhaps because the Mavs had good rebounders at every position and Dirk was needed so much on offense) but he still led the team in rebounding like he has every season over the past 10 seasons.

You don't win many seven game series with Dirk as your best player.
fact: the Mavs are 4-0 in game 7s with Dirk and he has been huge in all of those game 7s

but yes, the Mavs need a Batman. Dirk would be a perfect robin. Although he has shown he can lead a team to contention as a "Batman" over the past 10 seasons and would have a chip if not for Bennett Salvatore and crew.

            So yeah, back to LeBron.

Won't even respond but if he stays in Cleveland, it's going to be an interesting season.

                Congratulations.

Dirk can score and grabs a lot of rebounds. On defensive rebounds, which are quite simpler to get mind you.

Yet, the measure of a real monster on the board does his work on the offensive glass. Curious how you left out that Dirk's lucky to grab two offensive boards because he spends all game shooting from the outside.

And you still can't say anything for what he can do on D, which is next to nothing. I'll never forget how many times I've seen David West eat Dirk up in the paint.

Dirk would be a true all time great if he were a 6'8" small forward. Too bad he's roughly 5 inches taller.

I don't care what offensive stats you throw at me, the #1 stat is rings. Of which Dirk has none.

Anyways, I'd laugh hard if LeBron stays in Cleveland. Just to make all this fluff and posturing meaningless.

I stop reading at this point. The next f'ing person on TV or article I read to say that is gonna get my backhand to their right cheek. No....freaking....crap....LeBron is going to go where HE wants. OBVIOUSLY. I don't need your freaking source to tell me that.

Also....it just seems kinda pathetic now the way the Cleveland media is the only group of people that really thinks CLE is the front runner here. And every interview they do on TV and radio sounds like a flat out plea to LeBron to stay there or it will ruin their lives. Part of me wants LeBron to crush these people, part of me wants him to stay in CLE and never win anything.

My guess is their first move will be to talk to Chris Bosh and try to get him to S&T himself to Cleveland. Raptors like what the Cavaliers can offer and the Cavs can give him his contract offer.

After that? I'm sure they'll talk to Ray Allen and Mike Miller. Also, Haywood has also been getting some interest from the Cavaliers.

Problem with this is the one consistent thing that has been reported is that Bosh does not want to go to Cleveland.

IF LeBron re-signs, I'm certain that he'll try to recruit Bosh.
