. This is the joke of the day.

My point is for most of us this is a dream situation. Dont hate the man because it was possible for him.

Comparing the dude to MJ and he hasnt won ONE ring yet
I didn't say he was there, I just said he could have. He had a combination of ability and skill we have never seen in the NBA before. James was physically bigger than Jordan. He was more athletic. And was a better passer. The only thing Jordan had over James was one-on-one defense and shooting. But in his early 20's, we knew he could get better at those things if he wanted to. Jordan wasn't a great shooter himself when he first came into the league BUT he got better at it and become a dead-eye shooter. Who says LeBron couldn't have did the same?

All the greats turn it up when the playoffs come around. And watching his performance in the 2007 and 2008 playoffs, I really thought that we were watching the maturation process of his greatness. He took a crap Cavs team to the Finals in 2007. And nearly single-handily almost took out the eventual World Champion Celtics in 2008.

And yeah, he hasn't won a championship yet, but it took Jordan 7 years to get one. OK, so Bron could have gotten his in his 8th or 9th season. What's 1 or 2 years difference? Everything was lining up for him to be potentially the greatest of all time....

        ...until yesterday...

...we finally figured out what separates him from Jordan is determination in the face of adversity. Jordan knew that 'win at all cost' doesn't mean 'take the easiest way' to winning. Which LeBron did. And I think a lot of people are confused about that. Everybody says, 'Ain't it all about winning?' As strange as it sounds, 'No'. it's how you win. And Lebron would NOW never be like Mike.

I would say with other guys it was more about competing against the very best and winning only matter when playing the very best like Bill Russell said before. So joining to play with guys that are in the conversation for best player seems like in a way that you are dodging the chance you might lose and the hit your legacy might take.

Here's to Kevin Durant...the new face of the NBA...

Didn't kno if anyone heard but while this LeBron soap opera was going on, Durant signed a 5-year extension with OKC...he announced it on Twitter.

Shocker, class still exists in the NBA.

He'll be the face of the NBA until people find a reason to hate him, then they'll move onto the next guy who isn't as good as the top 2 guys in the league and so on.

I don't see why people don't get this. LeBron has more TALENT than Jordan, so how can he get away with simply being Pippen? He has to at least strive to be like/better than Jordan, not Jordan's sidekick. Doing anything else is a waste of LeBrons talent IMHO.

Yes if you know MJ you would agree. But like someone mentioned it will be more like what happened in Boston.

And we forget these guys are friends not just new teammates. They want to play together.

On a side note playing pick up basketball with some of the biggest ball hoggers in the city of New Orleans. The only time they pass is when they play with their friends.

LeBron is the most unselfish(on court) superstars(thats not a point guard) in the NBA. Why would he get there and pull some power play move? He is willing to make the right basketball move in the crunch time not just force his shot.

Jordan wanted to do his own thing. His competitive level was unmatched and he wasn't go to "join" up to win.

I mean, when Jordan came back again he could have went to a competitor. Got more rings and called it a career but he went to the Wizards. Schooled fools liked it was 1992 and called it a career.

You chase dreams in the 20's, chase rings in the 30's. That is why it isn't fair to put the Richmond's, Payton's and Malone's of the NBA into this topic. Completely different.

Don't be surpirsed if he joins up with some other superstar to win a ring in 5 years....LMAO...Wouldn't that be so funny. How old will Dwight be in 5 years?

                            Old myth.

LeBron loves LeIso. It gives him a chance to stat stuff against bad teams.

Guaranteed that will happen in Miami just as much as it did in Cleveland.

I find it hard to hate a guy who values being out of the spotlight and putting up monster numbers.

Not to mention is work ethic and determination is unreal.

Teams are going to make him shoot. Unless his jumper becomes wet by the beginning of next season, I'm not seeing a championship coming his way.
