This entire media fiasco is a load of bulls**t. LeBron didn't need to go so over-the-top in announcing his decision.

However, he's gonna do what is in his best interests. If that means leaving his home state behind, so be it. Other than Antwaan Jamison, who in my opinion is overrated anyway, there were no major upgrades to that team. Shaq's been past his prime for years, Moe's just average, and the rest of that roster is weak sauce. No big time stars can do it alone. Jordan had Pippen, Magic had Jabbar and Worthy, Bird had Parish and McHale, Kobe had Shaq and now Gasol. There is no player in Cleveland right now, not even Jamison, that could be Lebron's Pippen or Gasol.

So, can I blame the guy for being a media whore? Yeah.
Can I blame him for following his best interests? No.

Keep in mind this is an outsider's opinion. I am not a fan of the Heat or Cavs (I'm a Celtics fan).
    Thanks for the shout...

Not surprised he left. I'm used to stars bolting and winning elsewhere. Not upset, not depressed. Even Dan Gilbert can't help it if other superstars said "no" to playing in Cleveland, no matter how much $$$ he threw in their faces.

So he got who he could get, and they still had the best record in the NBA the last 2 years. But make no mistake, IMO LeBron looked like he quit during that last Boston playoff game, and that's what gets to me somewhat.

As if he knew that was his last game as a Cav. Then he put on this whole "World, look at me" show just to look us in the eye and say "I quit-----err, I'm leaving".

Some I work with have told me "ya never know, he could return in a few years". Well, after reading what Gilbert had to say, that bridge is now burned.

Cleveland basketball is now irrelevant. Let's see how they try and rebuild.

          Agreed.

I dont even have a problem with the media whoring. And he wasnt the only person benefitting because of it. He raised money for boy and girls clubs. And all pro hoops fan had something to look forward to when normally around this time we dont. That press-conference was way more exciting for me than the NBA draft has been for years.

My boy had a great comment about the Greenwich thing last night (we're from CT btw)...

"The only reason he had at the B&G Club in Greenwich is because it's the wealthiest town the country (it's up there, not sure if it actually is) and he'd be surrounded by children, so no crazy m'fer would be around to do something stupid. Safest place imaginable to piss of the state of Ohio and destroy his image, brand and legacy."

Because of the rape charges? Yep, if they actually played out as everyone thought they would.

                        This is completely different.

Lebron made a terrible choice. He went from a leader with a chance at greatness, to a 25yr old, who is already giving up and taking the easy road. Hes now on WADES TEAM, and is piggy backing on the shoulders of Wade and Bosch.

Some of you can say what you want, Lebron just proved he didnt hace what it takes to be a Jordan, Bird, Johnson, Kobe, etc.....Lebrons a piggy backer, who needed a leader to help him. He will NEVER be a all time top player, its impossible, hes not even the star in Miami, Wade is. Wades got the ring.

Me, myself, and I baby. Its what I got to do for me. Its a buisiness, not a sport for fun that you get paid for..........Very sad. Pro sports is such a joke anymore. Why do fans even care anymore? Its just buisiness......no fun in that.

Sure he could as he hasn't signed yet.

Woj. made a interesting article pointing out how LBJ is the ultimate bandwagon guy. Fan of the 90's Bulls, 90's Cowboys, Yankees and now this.
