I saw that... and heard his horrible 3rd person remarks and other things that piled on an already horrible interview. I just didn't see him "smirking". I guess more accurately, I didn't consider his body language/facial expression as "smirking" more than completely uncomfortable.

LOL i'm trying to find something else, because I'm sick of the same boring font. I don't know.

I'm surprised he didn't start going to town on his nails (and I'm actually serious).
Didn't Gray ask him if he was still a nail biter, LeBron looked like Jim about sparked his addiction again.

        "The Drive"
        "The Fumble"
        "The Shot"
        and now, "The Decision"

I wonder who chose to call it the decision

          ^^Exactly^^

Thats not smirking I think he hs the wrong meaning of what smirking is. And I'm not surprised by his 3 person remarks. He been doing that since HS...**** I remember his first interview on tape. It was just as bad.

But Smirking is usually a very clear thing to see. He is totally uncomfortable up there. I think he didn't want to be up there.

I think that's a cheap copout though. If LeBron didn't want to be up there, then he didn't have to agree to do this special. If the special was Jim Gray's idea as I've heard a few times since it happened, he didn't have to say okay. LeBron is not a 15 year old who has mommy making his decisions for him and signing him up to do stuff he doesn't want to do. If he wants to or doesn't want to do something he doesn't have to. This is part of the problem with his ego now, everyone wants to make excuses for him. 'He didn't have the dunk tape confiscated, Nike did.' 'The Cavs should have put the players around him to win, they couldn't provide him with a team.' 'He was upset after a really tough loss.' 'He didn't call himself King, Nike did.' 'He was uncomfortable on that stage, I don't think he wanted to be up there.'

Plain and simple, if he doesn't wanna do something, he doesn't have to.

Man it would've been hilarious if he just started going to town after that question, wiping his bloody nubs on that ugly shirt.

Thanks for changing the font back. You can be more creative than making it smaller and bold anyway.

Nobody's defending him, these are just observations. And my take on the man at this point is that he IS a 15 year old (in the sense that you're describing it). He needs to grow the **** up, and I feel like his move to Miami is another choice of following rather than growing up. But it is possible that this process will push him to grow up. Realizing how horrible the choice of doing "The Decision" was will most likely keep him from doing something so stupid ever again. That's a step right there.

                I feel the same way.

But why do people keep throwing these words like "ego", "self-centered" and "cocky". This guy has had a camera in his face since he almost beat Oak Hill at the buzzer after making a bunch of future NBA players (who were about 3 years older them him). Look like 12 year olds. Every NBA superstar are these things. Especially stars period. Actors, Rappers, Porn Stars. You have to a ego to be where you are. Thats the only way you became you. Its the only reason we sit here and talk about a guy and his moves about life. And its every turn.

All those adjectives you used in quotes are simply signs of insecurity and and immaturity. LeBron's basically been his own role model his whole life and I doubt anyone tells him he's doing something wrong. Some of the most humble athletes are also the most mature and well-balanced. I don't think LeBron ever really had a chance. He was destined for greatness and for arrogance ever since he hit ESPN as a 9th grader. Kind of feel bad for him, to be honest.

LOL. I can just picture it now, with Gray holding a metal bucket for LeBron to spit em in when he's done.

Yeah all those types of celebrities have egos, everyone has egos, I do, you do, wwharton, everybody. The thing is, there are ways to manage your ego. LeBron is one of those guys who doesn't seem to have a handle on his and allowing something like 'The Decision' is an example of that.

Durant needs to worry about his own team and how they're going to get past the Lakers without anything resembling a decent big man.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Excecutive: NBA Must Investigate Possible Promises to Lebron's Friends

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports chronicles the many machinations that took place behind the scenes of LeBron James' free agency.

A top front-office executive believes the NBA league office must investigate whether Pat Riley and the Miami Heat organization made promises of employment and benefits to members of James' inner circle.

"The bigger issue is salary-cap circumvention," the executive said. "You can’t promise jobs or preferential services outside of a contract or a job for a friend. If that’s part of the deal, it’s a violation."

Wojnarowski writes that James never intended to re-sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers after his contract expired.

Among other details, the story also reveals that James felt that Derrick Rose should have actively recruited him to sign with Chicago, something the Bulls' young point guard did not do.

LOL cause he hasn't spent pretty much the entire offseason concerning himself with everything about his team? Being at the draft, summer league, pretty much everything he can do to be worrying about his team?
