Re: The LeBron James Saga
i'm lost, why are we even talking about whether they could have gotten Amare? Its not like getting him would have changed things. Amare wasnt resigning with Cleveland, no free agents were signing with Cleveland because no one wants to go play & live in Cleveland, and the Cavs still wouldnt have beaten Boston in the playoffs because Boston was the better team.
As for the Cavs not beating Boston...well...I guess it depends. Does LeQuit still quit?Too Old To Game Club

Re: The LeBron James Saga
its a pile of crap? really? considering guys that Cleveland has got said they didnt enjoy living in Cleveland. Plus, name me the last big free agent that signed with the Cavs? Go ahead... i'll wait.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
There isn't one. Larry Hughes is the biggest free agent signing they have ever had. That says all you need to know.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
I brought up the whole Amar'e thing because the conversation was starting to dip back into the whole LeBron would have never been able to win in Cleveland cause he didn't have help territory and how he's in Miami because he wants to win. If he wanted to win he'd have gotten Bosh there in Cleveland with him or he'd have been actively recruiting big name people to the team like he did his first week in Miami. Bron is the best player in the league on a team that was winning 55+ games a year I find it hard to believe if he made his intentions on staying or leaving Cleveland clear to guys they'd still not go to Cleveland to play with him because it's Cleveland.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
As for big FA, obviously they weren't coming to Cleveland and LeBron did nothing to help that. The Cavaliers would have had Ariza if LeBron would have committed to them.Too Old To Game Club

Re: The LeBron James Saga
That's the thing, maybe it's just me, but there is no doubt in my mind that neither one of them were passing up the chance to team up together in Miami. That was a little show for the sources or even Bron's people putting that BS out there to make it seem like Bron was giving Cleveland every chance to get him back and throw people off the scent. I find it hard to believe that Bron didn't even talk to the Cavs organization after they got bounced by the C's the whole summer but he's out trying to recruit for them? Can't buy it man, sorry.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
BTW, here are the list of huge FA's that have left their franchises to sign on with "destination city" teams NY, MIA, CHI, and LA in the LeBron era:
2004
NY: Jamison Brewer, Bruno Sundov
MIA: Mike Doleac, Damon Jones, Wes Person, Christian Laettner
CHI: Andres Nocioni
LAL: Vlade Divac, Tony Bobbitt
LAC: Mama N'Diaye, Q. Ross, Rebraca, Mikki Moore, Rick Brunson
CLE: Tractor Traylor, Scott Williams, Lucious Harris
2005
NY: The Big Squadoosh. None.
MIA: Nada
CHI: Malik Allen
LAL: Aaron McKie
LAC: Sam Cassell, Cuttino Mobley
CLE: Larry Hughes, Donyell Marshall, Damon Jones
2006
NY: Jared Jeffries
MIA: Nada. Again. So sunny tho, lol.
CHI: Big Ben
LAL: Radmonovich, Shammond Williams
LAC: Tim Thomas
CLE: David Wesley
2007
NY: Nan
MIA: Alex Johnson, Penny
CHI: Zilch
LAL: D Fish, Coby Karl
LAC: Brevin Knight
CLE: None
2008
NY: Chris Duhon
MIA: James Jones, Diawara, Magloire, Bobby Jones, Shawn Livingston
CHI: ...
LAL: Josh Powell
LAC: Baron, Camby, Ricky Davis, Steve Novak
CLE: Lorenzen Wright, Tarrance Kinsey
2009
NY: Jonathan Bender
MIA: Arroyo, Rafer, Kenny Hasbrouk
CHI: Pargo
LAL: Ron Ron, Gaffney
LAC: Jameson Curry, Brian Skinner
CLE: Anthony Parker, Jamario Moon, Leon Powe, Z
Now please point out to me, if someone would, just how in the **** you come up with "derrr...nobody wants to sign in Cleveland, hur hur" BS? How many prime, cornerstone FA's have gone to these OMG it's so cool here cities over the last 6 years? How many years has CLE been thoroughly spanked in FA before Bron left? Some of those FA hauls were...better!? Even with NY and MIA penny-pinching for a few years doesn't explain it, as they still must have been able to bring in good players on the cheap, right? Right? It's Miami! Right?
Wrong, lol.
Stop with the stupidity. Players go where the money is first, and where they think they can flourish second. Having a lavish environment to floss in is icing.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
All the reports they was giving on the situation was saying Bosh didn't want to go to Cleveland. I really could give a damn either way. All you had to do was read my next post after the one you quoted to see that I said who knows what was true and what wasn't. Hell do you ever stop to think maybe some of these guys including the players themselves are lying?? I don't know what the hell your lil list was suppose to mean but I commented on nothing like that. I could tear that so called theory with that list to shreds but I won't waste my damn time. Again I could really give damn about any of it. Nobody on this forum knows what was really going behind the scenes and what was the truth or not. All we know is the end result that they all ended up in Miami.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
After Miami was blown out by the Pacers, LeBron was left wondering where the fun had gone, writes Brian Windhorst.
LeBron's not having any fun. A bunch of his numbers are career lows or lowest since his rookie year. He shared the court with this lineup: Eddie House, James Jones, Jamaal Magloire and Juwan Howard.
