He seems to feel good in his role as facilitator and there's nothing wrong with that. I like to see Wade as the number 1 scorer and James and the number 1 passer. It seems natural and it works right now.
However, against great defending teams James will probably have big scoring nights but I honestly don't see him putting up numbers like last year for a whole season.

When i just casually tune into the Heat games, i see Coach Spo lets Lebron just run with the bench sometimes so he can get his Cleveland Cavalier create every basket offense goin.

              Re: The LeBron James Saga

Isaiah Thomas' take on embracing the "hate" which is what he thinks Lebron and the Heat should do:

“As a competitor and as an athlete (being hated is) probably the most exhilarating feeling that you have outside of playing in the Finals. When the building is charged like that, the city comes to a stop, and you’re the hated team that’s coming in and it’s your job to make everybody unhappy in that building, it’s a great feeling and a great challenge when you can accomplish that. The electricity that this team will provide throughout the year in every city they go to, it’s something they will remember for the rest of their lives.”
“Hate is not a bad thing in sports. You need the good guy and the bad guy and not everyone can be the good guy. When you have the good guy matched up against the bad guy, that’s what we all want to see. We don’t want to see two good guys go at it. We want to see the adversaries and the rivalries. Right now I think it’s great for the NBA and it will be great for all these guys in their careers as time moves on that having a little hate and being a little despised that’s not bad all the time. That means that you’re pretty good, you’re touching people’s emotions, a little controversial, and you’re being talked about. That’s what sports is all about. It’s not about the good guy all the time. If they’re chosen as the bad guys that means they’re going to be on television a lot, they’re going to be written about a lot, and they’re going to win a lot of games.”

Isaiah woud know about being hated but someone should ask him how it affects endorsements all all of that. Its not like Isaiah was always pitching product before he became a bad guy and he certainly wasnt after.

So the circumstances might be different. Do these guys want to be like Mike, or do they want to be like Isaiah when it comes to endorsements?

                  What?

Who cares about endorsements? They might be nice to have and all but the only thing that matters is rings.

What world do you live in that no one cares about endorsements? The fact and the matter is, only a few players are really of the attitude that rings are the only thing that matters. In reality, everyone cares about endorsements.

Yeah, so I guess athletes are remembered by their Nike/Adidas/Converse/etc. shoes and not the amount of rings they've won?

Actually, yes. Ask a 12 year old how many championships Michael Jordan won. No answer? Now ask them what kind of Jordans they have. You just proved my point for me.

All I know is that, as much as I love basketball, if I had the talent LeBron has I'd be in it for the money.

It feels good to think athletes are immune to the power of greed and play only for the love of the game, but at the end of the day, they're still people. And 9/10 are more concerned about making money than they are winning championships.

I really dont think Lebron is in for the money, if that was the case he would have stayed in Cleveland where he could have got the Joe Johnson deal.

Sorry dude but I disagree. Were asking a 12 year old who more than likely does not even watch basketball what's more important Championships or Sneakers, of course their going to say sneakers.

Not only the money. LeBron's willing to sacrifice a bit of money to play in Florida (how are the taxes there?) with his good pals Bosh and Wade.

But I don't think he actually got less for going to Miami because they did a sign-and-trade.

So Dr. J is remembered by his Converse endorsement? Kobe is going to be remembered by his endorsements? Come on now.

I mean of course little kids that know nothing about basketball know about Jordan. Who doesn't? Jordan is the sole exception, but even casual fans know how won a ****load of championships.
