How do you propose he beat the best when the best have help? Kobe/Gasol/Fish - KG/Ray/Pierce - Dwight/Nelson/Lewis

It was Lebron and the Lebronnetes, D-wade with tito as a sidekick, and Bosh with a bunch of eurotrash.Your not gonna get anywhere on any of those teams.

I really want to hear someones opinion on why Lebron will play second-fiddle? or why there will be a first, second, or third fiddle at all really? This team has the chance to be like something we've never seen before or atleast haven't seen in a really long time.. cough showtime laker-ish

Cavs had no cap room they didnt give lebron a star in 7 years that lebron has been there. He had to leave to win.

Cavs drafted horrible and they didnt do anything other then get mo williams and a old jamison

I don't agree on every point, but another pretty good summation by Simmons:

                      Question for everyone:

Game on the line, 5 sec left, who's taking the last shot for this team? Lebron? Wade? Thats the problem with this team. Every team needs a clear crunch time #1 option. Damn near every championship team has had one. I dont think this Heat team does.
This heat team havent played 1 game yet...

This team has 2 and now neither of them can be doubled, good luck stopping that.

I see I've spotted the first of thousands of Heat bandwagoners after seeing your sig change from having the Cavs to now having the Heat.

                            This is gonna be great.

                              6. People who want/expect him to be the next Jordan...

I see 0 logic behind the negativity...LBJ wont be the first or last player to spend his career with future HOFers....How doest this disqualify him from being ONE of the GOATs and why is he Robin?

LBJ game is perfect for this...He's not Jordan, get OVER it!!!!
To number 3 - I think most of us are pretty OK with the fact that he's not coming here (I know I am). We already have someone.

And I, personally, am actually kind of glad about that last point. Now ESPN and the multitude of LBJ ****riders can make sure to NEVER attempt to make that comparison again. And they'd better not even think about trying to put him above him.

To address your overall point, I think it might be that people felt like he could be so much more than a guy who, at 25, had to run to play with other HOF players instead of making a team his own. But apparently he can't. Like I said, I'm not particularly mad about that. The slurping, unless he makes another wicked chasedown block or pulls off some sick moves on the dance floor--I mean basketball court, can maybe begin to die down.
