This quote made me think of his spot on Entourage with Matt Damon yelling at Vince to give to charity while Lebron was putting up a million lol

Man, I'm a Pistons fan but somehow, that video kind of just makes me sad, as if that LeBron just died the other day. It really bums me out to watch him go from dominant hometown hero leading his crew, steaming through the league and blazing a whole new path to giving in and joining forces with the dark side, so to speak. It just really takes it out of me. My life is not in shambles, mind you, but it does kind of take a lot out of me from a basketball perspective. It is really dissapointing; this is not the way things are supposed to be.

If I were any good at video editing I'd hook this up, but I think it conveys the point well enough.

You slam Wade and Bosh here for being injured and now that they get Lebron they're a super team? So is it Lebron and 2 superstars or Lebron and 2 injury plagued stars, which one?

Personally, I've never seen genuine hatred like this about any athllete. LeBron just was dumb, dumb, dumb doing it this way on national TV...seemingly rubbing it in the Cavs fans faces...there were just sooooooooo many better ways to do it than he did and probably NO worse way.

He's inflamed emotions to the point where I honestly think he'd be better off just missing the Cavs home game with a "injury". He's just better off not playing at this point. Whoever his "advisers" are.......they are morons. Collective IQ of about 12. They couldn't have done this whole thing worse.

"They are going to need to bring in the National Guard" (Spike Lee)
              <HR SIZE=1>

Spike Lee might be an interesting guy if he ever learns to open up and express himself. He made a fair attempt at that today, phoning in to ESPN, to give his thoughts on LeBron James going to Miami. The movie mogul and No. 1 Knicks fans had plenty to say about LBJ, and how he had better watch his back when he returns home to Cleveland:

On where he thinks LeBron goes from here:

"I don't know how he's going to live in Akron or Cleveland anymore. They're going to make his life miserable . . . The first time the Heat go into (Cleveland) they're going to need the National Guard. I'm not trying to blow this up, but they're going to need the National Guard."

              On The Decision show:

"I really can't understand why they chose Greenwich, Conn. The show was kind of cheesy to me. LeBron, he was really on edge. He hardly smiled, and he's someone who smiles all the time."

On how LeBron reacted when ESPN showed that his jersey was being burned by some in Cleveland:

"That was a killer. Like Michael Jackson sang, 'It cuts like a knife.' "

On Cavs owner Daniel Gilbert blasting LeBron:

"I would just like to say that I don't like what this guy did. The days of the owners dictating to the players what they can do are over."

On how LeBron will be treated at Madison Square Garden:

"Oh, he's going to get it worse than Reggie Miller."

His overall view of LeBron's decision:

"Look, I cannot blame LeBron for doing what makes him happy . . . But this thing was rigged. It was a done deal . . . C'mon, they knew. Pat Riley knew. This thing was rigged."

And how many championship rings does he think Miami will win with LeBron?

"I'm not giving them zero until I see who else they have. They have three guys. They're not better than Chicago. I don't think they're better than Boston is, either."

It def shows why you should never let you buddies run your marketing company that for sure. As for the whole he's better off not playing thing what's the worst they could do? I mean security will be as tight as a presidential speech but at the end of the day all they can do is boo. I think LeBron should be able to handle that you would think.

He deserves to get heckled, reasonably. Nothing regarding his mom or family and no death threats.

I think that is fair game and I'd definitely be throwing a few F-you, LeBron's if I was a Cleveland fan.

I guess so...but I think emotions will be so high that there's bound to be trouble outside the arena / locally.

Agree totally mate re don't let your buddies run your marketing. Honestly, they must have pea sized brains. Who wouldn't have said "Hey, LBJ...cutting the Cavs fans throats on national tv and dumping all over the city...you're a local and just spent 7 years there.....umm, maybe there's a better way?"

Even watching LBJ is 'akward'. It's clear he's a guy who's a bit challenged intellectually / no real education. He needed a few senior guys around him to just say "hey, let's do this differently and show a bit of class".

To say this upcoming season will be interesting for Heat fans is an understatement. I won't lie, I'm excited, but at the same time a little concerned about how this will affect the NBA, as well as whether or not it will stifle Lebron's potential to be a truly great player.

I feel for Cavs fans and in all honesty think it would've been better for him to stay there, but as a Heat fan you'd be lying if you said you're not at least a little bit excited about his arrival.

totally true but it's not like wack job's haven't done things like that in past. Booing and swearing at the guy is fine by me, anything beyond that is ridiculous especially since we are talking about a past time / hobby.

So what stats do you guys envision for the big 3 in MIA this season?

                          I'm thinking:

Bosh: 17 and 11 and a very high FG percentage
                          Wade: 24ppg, 6 boards 7 assists
                          LeBron: 24ppg, 8 boards 8 assists

Seems about right, maybe alittle higher ppg or assist for Lebron, I see him playing alot of point guard this year, something he is great at.

so the cavs came to there sences and did a sign n trade lebron picks up more money and a 6th year on the contract. in return the cavs get mutltiple picks
                                from the heat.

at least they got something in return instead of a empty hand and empty
                                seats in there home games.
