When was the last time you saw an organization hold an hour long special on ESPN to announce they were cutting or trading someone? As a Cavs fan I have no problem that he felt it was time to leave, it comes with the territory of free agency (trust me Cleveland is use to it in baseball). The issue is only in the way it was done and how no courtesy was given to the fans. Couldn't he have written a check to the Boys & Girls Club and had a typical press conference? Let's not forget that there was money from that special that went to everyone's pocket including LeBron's marketing team, so the whole it was for charity argument isn't entirely true.

I have difficulty believing LeBron doesn't think he is bigger than the game.

Even if I agree on the pistons, you can only cite 2 examples out of all the years of championships in the NBA.
DRob had Hall of Fame talents but didn't have the game to match. He scored using only 2 different moves. He could rebound but not in a crowd. In the clutch, he would miss free throws, turn the ball over, and play timid. He was a very good player but not quite Hall worthy.

Trust me if a franchise could have an hour special and make money off of it they would. But they cant because it doesnt spark enough interest.
You looking at the Chair MAN!

Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.

LOL justifying LeBron doing what he did by saying if a franchise could have an hour special to cut players they would. What is this 1st grade?

That would be cold blooded. Then do a half hour of meaningless interview before revealing who gets the axe.

If Lebron would have announced he was not returning to Cleveland after game 6 versus the celts through twitter people would still bash him. I feel like if he left cleveland period he would still receive all this backlash.

The backlash is not from leaving Cleveland, it's how he did it. He wouldn't receive all this backlash if he just quietly left like any other free agent.

No doubt Cleveland would have given him backlash. By having the one hour special he not only upset Cleveland, but there are NBA fans across the nation saying it was a bad move in how he went about it.

I will say this. While I don't agree with Lebron's easy route. I'll be realistic and say that the NBA has become very predictable. It's almost always the lakers winning, and I'm tired of them winning. Them 3 on a team will provide that entertainment that the NBA lacks sometimes. Many teams are very boring to watch.

Also forgot to add that Lebron didn't betray anyone. He has the right to play where ever he wants. If I were him I would have left Cleveland also. 7 years and nothing.

You're wrong. Seven years and some great moments. Two MVPs and twice the best record in the NBA. One NBA Finals appearance with that Game 5 in Detroit in 2007. Just some great moments.

Everyone seems to forget only one team can be champions at the end of the season. That's why it means so much.
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

You realize it was LBJ who couldnt get it done, right? We gave him a team he personally SELECTED.

As the great MJ said, organizations dont build champions, players do. I actually think talent in the NBA is very close across the board, but some players want it more. The Cavs were a great team, Lebron was just a poor leader. I am 100% sure Cleveland and MJ would have gotten it done. Ive seen it over & over again. THE BEST PLAYERS raise OTHERS game. I think Pippen would have just been a ok player if he hadnt been with Jordan. Pippen kept getting better. The Bulls didnt stack the deck, they were built over time, and kept getting better.

Saying Cleveland is at fault for Lebrons short comings is laughable. They let the dude run everything(there mistake), and he failed.

Lebron will do great in Miami, he can just worry about himself, and let Wade lead. They should do well.

I still think Kobe is 20x better then Lebron, but thats me. Frankly, I cant see Lebron having much of a Legacy playing with the two others. He basically threw in the towel, and went to a team of league tampered allstars for crying out loud. All for a easy ring. Some warrior he is.

Lebron had a good team in Cleveland. They even reached the finals once, and were very close many years.

Lebron was a quiter on, and off the court. Seen it many times.

You Cleveland fans do realize that the cavs without Lebron are not a good team right? Realistically speaking Lebron put Cleveland on the scene. Cavs are not a good team without Lebron.
