Worm, STFU. Your take on this is

I could jive with this post.

If what you're saying is true about Hickson vs. Shaq, then I'm siding with James 100% on this one.

Stats didn't lie even with O'Neal being "in shape" and the "model teammate". That's all well and good but it's clear that the Big Fella simply should not be starting nor be getting significant minutes. He's an on-court chemistry killer for most contending teams. Now with Boston, Shaq can actually be effective assuming he's a backup.

In the half court it looked as if LBJ had a 2-ton anchor around his neck whenever Shaq would be in. The game looked too rigid on offense and not artistic like the year before. Once again, the stats on that don't lie. Check em.

Hickson was the ideal compliment to a player like James, and when Hickson didn't see the floor much of the Boston series I was constantly making posts about it. Brown's inept *** decided to nail Hickson's backside to the bench.
    I feel you on Rodman.

As for Hickson, I want no part of the Shaq/Hickson debate going on here but I agree with you here too. Mike Brown is an idiot. At the very least, take a look at the games the Cavs beat the Celtics in the regular season. Hickson was a large part of that and the game plan fit his style more than Shaq. I wouldn't even say that Shaq shouldn't be playing... of course he should. But a rotation of Shaq and Big Z while Hickson is nailed to the bench most of the series is just idiotic.

Yes, if only Mike Brown had played JJ Hickson more the Cavs would have won the championship last year. It's so funny how people act like he's any good at all. DO you watch Cavs games? He's the definition of a garbage man. If LeBron penetrated and Hickson's man left him, LeBron dished it for the jam. Thats the only time Hickson scored at all. I heard a stat back in March or so that Hickson didn't hit a shot from outside 10 feet from mid November to mid February. The guy is a bum and without the easy buckets from LeBron, he will prove as much this season. Stop acting like Hickson is Karl Malone or Charles Barkley people.

Who exactly is acting like that?

Stop exaggerating to continue your argument. As a coach, if you have tape of your games against the team you're playing and they show that your team played better with a gameplan that included a certain group of players against that team, it's not rocket science to think you should use that same gameplan again. No more, no less.

          Re: The LeBron James Saga

LeBron James won't rule out returning to play for Cleveland some day, but admitted in an interview with GQ Magazine that owner Dan Gilbert's letter to fans on the night James left the Cavaliers gives him "a lot of motivation" for when he and his new Miami Heat teammates play his former club.

In an interview to be published in the September issue of GQ, James told writer J.R. Moehringer that "if there was an opportunity for me to return [to Cleveland] ... and those fans welcome me back, that'd be a great story."

But James, who announced on July 8 that he would leave the Cavaliers as a free agent to sign with the Heat, said of Gilbert's late-night letter: "I don't think he ever cared about LeBron. My mother always told me: 'You will see the light of people when they hit adversity. You'll get a good sense of their character.' Me and my family have seen the character of that man."

James added: "It made me feel more comfortable that I made the right decision."

Moehringer interviewed James three times in a 19-day span -- twice before and once after his announcement.

The story looks at the weeks leading up to and just after his July 8 announcement on ESPN, which was widely panned. James said he wouldn't change anything about how he made his decision, or how he told the world about it.

James told GQ: "I understand that a lot of people would be hurt" in Cleveland by his decision, but also said that growing up, he and his friends from Akron didn't always like Cleveland. Akron is about 40 miles south of Cleveland.

"It's not far, but it is far," James told GQ. "And Clevelanders, because they were the bigger-city kids when we were growing up, looked down on us. ... So we didn't actually like Cleveland. We hated Cleveland growing up. There's a lot of people in Cleveland we still hate to this day."

James said he'll remain anchored in Akron. "I'm going to spend a lot of the summer here," he said. "This is my home. Akron, Ohio, is my home. I will always be here. I'm still working out at my old high school."

And he said Cleveland fans were "awesome" but didn't take back his comment late last season that those around him were "spoiled" by his play.

"I love our fans. Cleveland fans are awesome," he told GQ. "But I mean, even my family gets spoiled at times watching me doing things that I do, on and off the court."

This dude has a bigger ego than Favre, T.O., and A-Rod rolled into one.

This guy could develop into the biggest tool in sports, move over Kobe.

Did he really just say "I don't think he ever cared about LeBron"?

            I mean really?

Looking at his comments from GQ and I have to agree with WazzuRC Lebron has to have the single biggest ego in sports and while he tried to mend fences by saying he might come back it still comes off as utterly egotistical and selfish.

This guy went from perhaps being the most charismatic and loved NBA player since Michael Jordan to being one of, if not the biggest A-hole in sports.

                Congrats Lebron congrats

I am still trying to figure out how the Cleveland fans were "spoiled" by him on and off the court. If he is trying to come off as being clueless to what Cleveland sports fans have had to endure, then he is going a masterful job.

The saddest part is when he justifies "The Decision" by saying that he hated Cleveland growing up. What the hell does that have to do with the present? I'm hopeful that eventually LeBron can gain some better perspective on how he has conducted himself. He never owed it to anyone to remain a Cavalier, but owed it to Dan Gilbert, his former teammates and fans to handle things more professionally. Oh well.
