    Re: The LeBron James Saga

A lot of people were saying that this summer, though, as to what is considered living up to expectations and whatever.

Of course the hype has died down some now that Wade missed pre season and Miller hurt his thumb. Built in excuse though, I guess.

Can't wait for tomorrow night. Hope Boston brings the ruckus

      That seems fair.

It allows for a slip up against the Lakers or a healthy Celtics team.

However, if the MLE is kept there's absolutely no excuse for them not to win the next four after this upcoming year.

        LeBron is a insecure clown.

I don't wish injury upon any player but if he were to go down with a tricked knee or something like that, let's just say that I wouldn't shed a single tear.

Dude's ego is beyond anything ever known or seen in pro sports.

Bleep him and the Heat. Go Celtics!

I never said it wasn't wrong. I'm just saying I'm not surprised and wasn't when that news first came out. Like I said, this isn't the first time something like this has happened and it won't be the last.

That has nothing to do with what he was saying, he was telling you why those of us non-Cavs fans no longer like Bron.
Umm yeah, I know that. I didn't disagree with him about people hating LeBron/the Heat for that reason. I was only saying that I wasn't surprised that the 3 of those players pre-arranged all of it. There's a difference....

At this point I just can't wait for the season to start so all this nonsense can get tossed to the side and (hopefully) people can focus on the on-court events and not the off-court bull****.

About the Heat needing to win 3 out of 5 championships, IMO as long as they win one it can be considered a success, but that's just me. I know everyone else thinks they need to win multiple rings to be considered a success.

I don't see how the LeBron hate will wane just because the season starts.

Once again, whatever negative he does, it'll be talked about here, other boards and on ESPN.

Sucks, but that's what we're dealing with from this point forward with him.

I for one don't mind talking actual basketball hehe.

Oh I know that. I mean that it's going to be nice that we can actually have games being played so this dumb ish can be pushed off to the side a bit.

I'm also interested to see how this Heat team is going to play. I didn't get to see any preseason games so I wonder if LeBron is going to be a point forward? And who's going to be the go-to scorer/creator in the clutch?

                Re: The LeBron James Saga

Well really their big three only played a few minutes together in pre-season until Wade got hurt and never played again.

James looks as sharp as ever and although things don't move as crisply as they were in Cleveland when they were firing on all cylinders, it's pretty apparent that they have something special just in LBJ/Bosh.

They already seem to have a good feel for each other, as far as everyone else, it's definitely still a work in progress. I feel like they're going to get it sooner than later and I have them in the Finals if they stay healthy.

As far as LBJ, he's doing a lot of the same things he did in CLE which is dominate the ball and then find someone open for a jumper or cutter to the basket.

As weird as it sounds I think a lot of people are underestimating what this team will be able to do once Miller gets back and Wade is 100%

Except it's really not going to get pushed to the side. Every single Heat game is under a microscope now. In a way this is why all this crap is good for the league cause never in a million years would anyone have thought before this summer that games like Heat vs T'Wolves would be discussion worthy or anything but just watch...there are going to be disections of everything. He scored a lot of points against them, then you're going to get "his ego won't allow him to not run up the score against the crap teams" or we'll have games where he doesn't put up big numbers and it's "he's cracking under the pressure he put on himself." The season starting isn't going to mean anything to this topic.

Yeah, I agree it's good for the league. I completely disagreed when everyone said this was bad for the league. Maybe bad for the small market teams like the T-Wolves, but when the NBA was at it's most successful point was when it had a dynasty like the Bulls.

Who knows if this team will be a dynasty, but it's been awhile since we've had a team like this. The last time was probably the Shaq/Kobe Lakers.

I just know that when I get older and if the Heat reel off consecutive titles, I'm really not going to look at LeBron in the same light as MJ.

Just like I don't look at Kobe in the same light...

Both guys will have had some damn good talent around them.

Oh well, at least it should be entertaining.

I don't think anyone that understands how good Michael was will look at anyone in the same light as him.

But I don't understand the third part of your post. MJ had talent around him as well. I mean, it wasn't to the level of the Heat but isn't it at least comparable to the Lakers?

Yeah, with Andrew being hurt, I would have to say Chicago and LAL are comparable.

Don't care to get into that though
