Re: The LeBron James Thread
I was re-watching the end of Game 6 of the Celtics series and when LBJ leaves the court. I didn't catch it before but it's funny as hell - as LBJ goes into the tunnel he high-fives a Celtic fan or two and puts his head down and continue to walks forward looking to high-five more fans but no C's fans have their hands out and he's left hanging.
Tough to see in the gif but the video is pretty damn funny. Basically he finds nothing but air with his left hand.

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Not sure if serious.
He can easily palm the ball and so can most if not all NBA players. Most average men could palm.Comment

And it looks so setup you'd think it was scripted. Picture is perfect tho.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I saw on some show that LeBron's hands were 4 inches bigger then an average mans hands. Might not sound like much but look at your hands (assuming your an average sized man) and imagine your fingers 4 inches longer and your palms 4 inches bigger.. I'm pretty sure you could palm a basketball.Chicago Bulls | Chicago Bears | Chicago White Sox | Chicago BlackhawksComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
theres a huge difference between an average man palming a ball (probably standing in one spot concentrating on palming) and palming the ball while flying through the air to dunk it...Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I've got small hands, but I can palm a dry, crisp fresh basketball standing and focusing hard. But while moving, and while jumping in the air(with gravity making the ball heavier) only a seldom few could.
MJ being one of them.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Yeah you're right about that, but I mean I just don't get why would you say that James can't palm the ball, or act like only MJ and Dr. J were the only high fliers who could palm.
He's 6'8 with massive hands.
My point about the average man being able to palm it ties into the fact that the average height of an NBA player is obviously bigger than the average man. So that would probably mean most of them would have no issues palming a ball even when dunking.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I think it is pretty absurd to think that a man as massive as LeBron can't palm a ball. I also think it is pretty off to think that only MJ and Dr. J are of a very select few of guys who could palm a ball. I guess you haven't seen any Vince Carter, Clyde Drexler, Pippen, Worthy, and many many more dunks. The vast majority of all players not at the PG position can palm a ball. Just because a guy likes to cuff the ball instead of palming it doesn't mean anything. LeBron has shown many times he can do it with ease but when I read that statement this is the first dunk that came to mind

The video you linked shows the statue of liberty style which doesnt require a palm necessarily, as you can see the ball is slipping out of his hand a little.
MJ, Dr J, Vince Carter can make the ball an extension of their hand in any situation, which is a true ability to palm the ball. LeBron cannot do this. Or I have not seen it.Comment
