Yes exactly J.R. Smith has had a few highlight games like that. Where he taking 30 foot 3 pointers. Back to back to back like that.

I wanted to say that the huge post that Hunter made. Those guys were taking regular in rhythm shots. Jordan and Larry Bird probably had the best shot selection of all time (in my opinion). They didn't take many hard shots (don't take literally...But you know what I mean). Especially bad 3 pointers like that.

well, if your criteria is solely poor shots that still fall in bunches, j.r. smith is your guy.

i would also say almost any kobe game would give you that, since he takes insanely tough shots (i would say any games against the suns from last year's playoffs, or pretty much ever).

however, if it's just a matter of a guy getting hot and making an obscene amount of buckets despite good defense or the stage that they're on, then jordan scoring 64 against shaq, or 28 straight in game 2 of the 1991 finals counts.

also, bird scoring 22 points left-handed and getting a triple double is ridiculous.

Jordan took his share of bad shots, the difference is sometimes I swear Kobe take bad shots on purpose just to showoff his 'bad shotmaking' prowess...

I agree with this lol, but I also believe his is supremely confident in his ability to make those bad shots so he just takes em.

Lets get this thread back on topic (or let it die a much needed death... until the playoffs start of course). The current conversation is a good one. If you all want to continue it, start a new thread so new comers won't have to go through thousands of posts to get to it and join in.

Mo Williams turned into an All-Star simply because of LeBron's "pigeon holing".

Larry Hughes on the other hand, was regressing at a rapid pace by the time he reached LeBron's team so I won't comment on him.

As far as you Mike Miller comment, I tried to tell everyone that he too seemed to be regressing over the past few years, but people wanted to tell me it was injuries. Na. Once he joined Minny it's like he quit working in the offseason. I've always said it seemed like he became a hippy and got all f'ed up in the head. He got all those tatts and the weird hairstyles... Just from an outsider's perspective I thought that might of had something to do with his play.

Mike Miller's poor production has nothing to do with LeBron. Come on now. I'm sure you watch plenty of Miami games. He is just bricking everything in sight and has no confidence.
              1. Mo wasn't an All-Star, I thought we had agreed on that. His production in his last 2 years in MIL were almost identical to the numbers he put up alongside Bron. In CLE he took more threes, and was better from the line, so again, he had it easier, but wan't much better.

              2. Larry Hughes was coming off a career year when the Cavs signed him.

              3. Re: Miller...Injuries, or pressure? Who knows for sure. For whatever reason, dude is boo boo right now. I do know that Mike Miller will have a stupid hot 500 watt floodlight blazing down on him in the post season, and every big miss or make will be national news. Failure isn't an option for MIA. Lets see how well those supporting guys can knock down those "easy" looks in big moments. If they can, the Heat will romp.

Regardless of whether or not either of us think Mo was deserving of an All-Star bid, the point is LeBron made him shine even brighter than Mo did in MIL. His 3 point shooting was unreal for a few years, at least during the regular season. So the discussion on Mo and pigeon holing, that's a bit unfair.

Larry Hughes was on the fast track to regression when he signed with CLE. Just because you come off a career year doesn't necessarily mean much. When he came to CLE it was almost as if he just stopped caring. He looked 100% uninterested for the most part of his Cav career...

Could it just be Mo got more attention in Cleveland b/c of the attention LeBron brought to the team?

Definitely. However really his 3 point shooting was absurd I think that made him break through in terms of All-Starness.

But the fact that they were winning games too definitely helped Mo become an "All-Star".

My point was more so that I think it's a bit unfair to say LeBron pigeon holes his teammates. I think LeBron is one of the superstars who can play and excel with any team he's placed on.

An article that talks about who the closer on the Heat is.

MIAMI -- As Miami's regular season comes to a close, a lingering question continues to dominate the conversation:Who is the Heat's closer? With two ball-dominant superstars on the wings and an efficient big man on the block, the Heat are blessed with late-game options and triggers.

According to the article the team shares the duty, but Lebron has been the most clutch if you look at the numbers. The article also said they all have been historically bad this season.

I don't know about that. Clearly none of them has been really clutch, but I have seen Wade in the crunch time this year take terrible shots and make really bad decisions.

I remember a few times it was after getting the rebound of an even worse LeBron shot.
