I think thats nonsense. If Lebron signs a max deal with the Heat that completely kills the point of opting out to get help. He will (and should) be paid the most out of the big three, but i think it will be closer to 17-19 million in the first year rather than 22.2.

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Exactly what I was thinking. They went through the numbers if he took the max and even with Wade taking 12 mil in that scenario, they basically had the mid level exception to play with after even a paycut from Haslem and that was still without adding Ray Allen or Birdman.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I don't buy it, and if its true, I'll be disappointed in LeBron. He doesn't need the money - he made 30 million off his Beats investment alone, plus tens of millions more from various endoresements, and his usual salary is nothing to scoff at. It doesn't make sense that someone worth 350 million dollars would significantly harm his team's title chances in exchange for monetary gain.
I think this is a farce, tbh.Originally posted by Kaiser Wilhelmthere should not be ties occurring in the NFL except when neither team wins the game.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
So he's not even bothering to be part of meetings with other teams? He's just trolling and seeing if anyone will actually break up their teams so they can offer the max and have a "shot" at him.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

No need for him to meet with other teams if he's not going anywhere anyway.#RespectTheCultureComment

LeBron should not take a pay cut and won't accept anything less than the max. I don't know how you or anyone has the audacity to knock LeBron for taking the maximum amount of $ he most certainly deserves. He's the best player in the WORLD.Comment
