All this hubbub and fan annoyance is exactly why I wouldn't want LeBron to *actually* come to Phoenix. It would be amazing on the court, but off the court it would be insufferable.

.........Hawks fans aren't even Hawks fans. Every game I went to down their when I was in grad school they were always going for the visiting team unless the Hawks came back.

Obviously teams like the Cavs or Clippers or Knicks don't have that background because they don't have any Championships but to say the Rockets or Bulls don't have one is a bit inaccurate.
I was talking back in 2010. Not now.... Thibs was a first year coach. Rockets... Who is on the Rockets? lol

I think for anyone that has their team in LeBron's hat it's annoying.

If Bron goes to The Rockets no defense will be played at all.

I have no issue with LBJ fans jumping ship if he were to leave Miami. No different than if MJ had left Chicago for New York back in the day. There would have been a mass exodus from Chicago to New York. These people are a fan of the player, not the team.

This is why I find it funny so many get upset about Miami "fans". Let them have their fun being front runners because truth is, they will never truly experience the joy of winning after all the pains that come with losing.

                Re: The LeBron James Thread

I think LeBron just put pressure on management to get some other players in there without pulling a Kobe and throwing everyone under the bus.

At this point he has all the leverage. He wasn't happy about Mikey Arison cutting costs and getting rid of guys like Mike Miller and Joel Anthony, and he already said he doesn't want to have to carry as heavy a load as he did this year.

We used to go back and forth about that very thing a couple of years ago. It would basically wear him down and probably end up with some kind of injury, playing too many minutes and doing everything (which is what Spo reverted back to again)

In all seriousness i'd be intrigued if Lebron were to go back to Cleveland. He could play the old mentor who guides the young guys and build a future for the team. The story of the hometown hero that spurned the city coming back to make amends is an appealing one.

This is the only scenario in which I lose respect for James. Miss me with the home grown hero crap. Gilbert **** all over him after he left. No way James should work for that man again.

                          Re: The LeBron James Thread

I think the fact that he's opted out this early is to put the heat organization on notice that he's not messing around and he needs changes and big ones. I think it's miami's race to lose. I mean the main reason Cleveland is in the race is because it's Cleveland. This team would be a much better cast especially without Mike (freaking) Brown. Still I think with pay cuts the heat could easily build a very good roster.

I mean Dwayne wades not going anywhere, He's looking at Lebron like "At least if you go, I will get $$$$."

Are we even sure bosh will stay? I wouldn't if I were him. He's stuck being the 3rd wheel and every other game having his talent questioned bc he either gets too little or too many touches. He can get max dollars somewhere else, maybe not as many championships but he already has 2 so it's not his biggest priority.

I think it's good for basketball if the heat split up. I just hate the way they came together and the bandwagon fans. No One likes bandwagon fans I get that, but it's like the heat fans are a different breed (lmao) . It sucks for the actual true ones.

lol memphis...would be real interesting to see what lebron could do with a real center and point guard, more importantly ones who can play both ends of the court.

might be the best defensive team in a long while

That Wizards' fanbase sure blew up with all those Chicago fans when he came here for those 2 years.
