The funny thing is Gilbert is ripping Lebron for doing the exact thing he was trying to get Tom Izzo to do a couple weeks ago. Leave his home high and dry. I wish it had worked because I hate everthing MSU and Ohio.

they called the Cavs a few mins before the decision. his rep told Gilbert this..

I don't agree with all of the article, but I'm glad the guy wrote it. For some reason I just don't see why everyone is so mad at Lebron. Yes, he made it all about himself and the 1 hour ESPN deal kinda twisted the knife to Cleveland fans, BUT they all knew this was a possiblity. He was a Free Agent, hence he can go to whatever team he likes the most. In that article the author talks about Lebron being a Yankees fan and not an Indians or Browns fan. So what? Not every kid that grows up in/around Cleveland, or any other professional sports town, has to like their hometown team. Most probably do, but there are plenty that don't. There is nothing wrong with that. Yes I wish it was more like the old days where players stayed with 1 team their whole career, but that is just not the way it is. And Owners like Dan Gilbert are the reason for that. The owners have helped shape the free agency just as much as the players, imo. Sometimes you win in the FA process, sometimes you lose. No reason for Gilbert to act like a toddler who had his lunch money taken from him.

Also, why does everyone put Lebron down for needing help winning a championship. Bird, Magic, Jordan & Kobe all had "help". LeBron didn't have any help in Cleveland and still got them to the finals, they just couldn't seal the deal. There is no shame in admitting you can't win a championship by yourself. No one has ever done that. LBJ is a great player, but he can't beat a team of great/good players. No shame in joining with others to accomplish your goals. That is what teamwork is. Basketball is a team sport. People have it twisted on this one I think.

All I can say about this situatio n is Cleveland has no one to blame for this then themselves. Who they think they are pointing the finger at lebron when they didnt make the moves to give Lebron Help? We saw the team do nothing for 7 years but Let lebro n carry them on His back and try his best to be the one man show. If yo u want a championship yo u build it by players not player there is no I in team As for Cleveland fans burnign the jersies and stuff. The fans were classless and with no heart . Lebron is a human being and will always be fro m Cleveland . When lebron wins 3 championships yo u guys will be cheering and saying "Oh Hes our boy" and Dan Gilbert will be with 0 the Browns will be worse then the Lions and the Cavs will moveto Seatle!

Its your property to burn lol. Why would anyone say that is classless when all the fan ever did was support this player? The fans are not classless at all, and are the victims here...Lebron is no victim and deserves no sympath, and all the players coming to his rescue are just annoying.

Dwight Howard's statement that he went hard for CLE for 7 years is crap. When it counted most we all saw Lebron quit. He wants to win (a la Miami), but he quits on his Cleveland team? Dude is a contradiction.

LeBron cannot do it all by himself. This is true. And of course the Cavs should get blame for failing to get a supporting cast.

But there are other circumstances to which Gilbert can and should be pissed about.

Umm...Teams were not just going to trade players to the Cavs for the sake of giving Lebron a supporting cast. Other GMs knew what Clevelands intentions were and could see their hand. We can say maybe they should've traded Hickson in a deal for Amar'e, but Hickson still has promise and comes cheaper than an Amar'e.

...and c'mon Lebron didn't have a say in the decision making process? You think the CLE front office acted solely on their own without ever considering Lebron's thoughts in the decision making?
