    Chris Paul wants out?

Seems like CP3 wants out of New Orleans and his three preferred destinations are the Knicks, the Magic, and the Lakers. Note also that he's pulling a "LeBron" and wants to play with a superstar.

The Lakers probably don't have the parts to make a trade. The trade that I think would make sense would be Jameer Nelson, Vince Carter, and a couple first round draft picks from the Magic for CP3 and James Posey. Vince is simply in there for the expiring, and there has to be a team that takes on one of the Hornets's salary dumps in the process. I'm not quite sure what the Knicks could offer though. Eddy Curry of course, but what else?

I hope the whole Lebron thing doesn't start a chain reaction where every superstar starts pouting and ends up playing on a super stacked team. The league will start getting too top heavy real soon.

As for Paul on the Lakers? Being a Lakers fan I would love to have a top 2 point guard but not if they have to give up other key pieces (specifically their forwards or a Bynum). A true point guard is the least important part in the triangle offense, and what makes the Lakers so good is their size/length/depth/skill combination in the paint.

They wouldn't be gaining much value in the offense by replacing Fisher/Blake for CP3.

Knicks can also offer up Toney Douglas and Wilson Chandler, I'm not saying that would be enough, but I have no doubt they'd be available if it were for CP3 (Curry and Chandler are probably available regardless.)

We'd probably also part with Felton for CP3 since Douglass would probably be a better back up player (more size and can play the 1 or 2) but we can't move him yet so he's out as a trade candidate. Maybe we'd throw in Bill Walker as well and take back someone who can play the 2 from NO?

Doesn't look like we have the pieces to make it work, but I'll hold off on the "there's no way" talk until Donnie says it's not possible. After he mugged GS in the Lee trade and then got Felton to take a two year deal as a 26 year old FA, I'll say he has some tricks up his sleeve.

          Too late.

I think the next big three will be Paul-Melo-STAT.

Then, Dwight should go to OKC to form Durant-Howard-Westbrook, followed by Deron-Kobe-Gasol.

Don't think it'll happen but i'd send them Ariza/Brooks/Jeffries and both the knicks picks.

Won't really matter though because we don't have the superstar player he'd like to play with so meh.

I agree, this is looking like Melo/Paul/Amar'e are going to try and counter the whole Heat thing.

Also, i'm not a Laker ***** but I will join the club if Chris Paul joins the Lakers. That's just not fair and shouldn't be allowed to happen.

I dont care what yall say about honor, he needs to take his leadership and talent somewhere he can produce something in his career besides getting David West open jumpers his entire career for nothing

Karma would dictate Paul goes to Orlando or NY and spanks up the MWO for years to come. Not sure how he would fit on the Lakers with the triangle for one more year at least. The triangle has been known to destroy dynamic point guards' confidence.

Paul/Melo/Amare sounds like it would be a better trio than LeBron/Wade/Bosh basketball-wise.

So he wants to form DX to counter the nWo in Miami?

Unless the Nets' Medical Staff gets a clean, and I mean CLEAN, where the Knee will no longer be an issue anymore, I'll pass. But if it turns out that his Knee is good to go and won't be an issue in the future, the Hornets can have anybody on the roster except Brook.

I don't think it's the same because if he goes to New York, he'd be the leader and go-to guy of the team, and if he goes to Orlando, he'd at least be the go-to guy and maybe the leader too. Lakers is more of a Lebron move.

Marcus Thornton and Darren Collison are chopped liver now, eh?

                            Typical.

Just **** New Orleans. I know how it is.

                            On another note:

This article doesn't smell right. This dude is New York based 1st off. 2nd, why is someone close to CP3 blabbing and then trying to stay anonymous? Completely redundant. We, general public, don't care who he is, but CP3 does. But...CP3 doesn't have some ridiculously large crew, pretty much him, CJ (his bro), and a few other people. Wouldn't be hard to figure out who talked.

So unless CP3 has some dumb friends, this doesn't make sense.

CP3 may want out, but this article doesn't prove squat to that effect.

Aside from being impossible, it's also far inferior to Lebron, Wade, and Bosh.
