Re: Chris Paul wants out?
Very glad to hear that he should be staying with the hornets. He liked what they said about their plans for the future, this leads me to believe that they might try to sign 1 or 2 cheap players this year, they have pejas contract that will expire next year and will free up 15.6 million not to mention hopefully the ownership sale will happen soon and would be willing to go over the luxury.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Finally this front office did something worthwhile, even though they were the reason he wanted to leave in the first place.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Not sure. Melo's a remote possibility and people on other forums I frequent love Marc Gasol to death, who is a restricted FA next year and don't think Memphis can hold onto him after overpaying Rudy Gay. But we can't get any of them without unloading Okafor and Posey's albatross contracts.
And there's the matter of Marcus Thornton who is in a contract year and is due to make less than $800,000. If he explodes, we'll have to give him some significant clout, and other teams might make a run at him as well.
Wish I had an answer, but too much is up in the air for me to say anything but...
I don't know.Comment

Re: Chris Paul wants out?
Marcus Thornton is a very interesting piece in this puzzle. Look at his play last year, he really came on in the 2nd half of the season, playing much better than his stats would indicate. If he's the real deal he could shake things up a little bit, by either leaving or staying. Was there a better SG than him in the rookie class?Comment

Re: Chris Paul wants out?
Heh. I figured as much.
A thought that crossed my mind, I wonder if the Hornets really might look to make a move for Andre Igoudala? Only downside is his contract. But his skill set and unselfish passing makes him quite attractive. Also I know the 76ers should be dying to get from under his contract to alleviate the pressure of Elton Brand's some.
Iggy for Peja works straight up in the ESPN Trade Machine too. Interesting. Thoughts? I don't watch many 76ers games.
Any fans with words to add? Underrated? Underachieving? Total bum in wolf's clothing?Last edited by Eman5805; 07-26-2010, 11:40 PM.Comment

Wait. People actually believe that statement?
The first time I heard it on ESPN, I laughed and went "suuuure".Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Chris Paul wants out?
Hell. From what it sounds, Chris Broussard was completely wrong as well. The subject of Chris Paul was never raised, which would only be done by Chris Paul himself. It was already said in separate articles that if Chris Paul didn't bring up trades involving him, neither would Hornets' brass.Comment
