I would say no, just because anytime you're trading away a superstar, you want young prospects, expirings and high draft choices.

Dallas can only offer one of those three things.

Denver got too greedy man, too bleeping greedy. Melo will become a bull without giving NOAH. They get trade Lou deng, Taj Gibson, and 1st round pick. Because Denver have no choice to trade or lose melo is FA without getting anything. Melo can be traded to knicks for Wilson, Gallo, and Randolph or Douglas.

Explain again how Denver got too greedy.

There was never any deal. Melo didn't want Brooklyn.

And LMAO at the thought of Denver taking on Deng's contract and the thought of Denver not getting Noah back. Keep dreamin bud.

It does seem like Melo wanted no part of NJ and NJ found out about this somehow. It's a bit of posturing by Prok to save some face. Make it seem that they were in control of the talks and weren't just strung around by everyone else.

On the other hand, man the Nets have some owner, that guy is hilarious. That press conference was the most surreal thing I've seen this season (who does a press conference in the NBA to say that they are not trading for a player ). Wish NJ the best of luck, they still have tons of picks, cap space, and expiring contracts to play with.

Yeah, NJ is still in a pretty good situation despite not getting Melo.

Like I said a few pages back, despite all the reports that a deal was going to be made this week, I didn't see it happening.

What the hell u talking about. They ask for 1 1st pick then later ask for another one and ask to add another player I mean come on now. Denver is going to do a deal either with the bulls or knicks or have nothing. Now denver will get desperate and pull the trigger or lose melo in FA and get nothing. I would trade for deng, gibson and 1st pick. Its better than getting nothing.

Re: The Carmelo Anthony (NY or Bust?) Thread

I'm just glad to see that the FO is showing that it still has SOME common sense because everybody and their mama knew Denver were going to try and rape us for everything we had since up to this point, they seen how desparate we were because I mentioned plenty of times in here(around the time all of this Melo wanted out mess came out)that if he were to come here, it wouldn't be much better than what he was leaving. You wanna get people's respect...you gotta win games. Plain and simple. But The Russian has regained some of the respect he lost from me for pulling out of this and realizing this wasn't going to make the team better for the long term.

Sucks for NJ's perspective because we already wasted half the season dealing with this crap for the last 4 months and also trading away players(T-Will)for the wrong reasons instead of developing the players that we have on the roster but the good thing is that we have a **** load of draft picks to work with so we can still build our team through the Draft and Free Agency(depending on how it looks if there's a new CBA).

So I guess this means Cleveland now has new opposition in the race to possibly draft Kyrie Irving in the Draft(assuming he comes out). Whoopty freakin do LOL

I have a hard time understanding what you said here.

There's only two teams that have a chance at Melo: Chicago and NY. Those are the only two teams Melo would sign a long term deal with.

There was never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever any chance Melo wanted to sign with New Jersey.

You can believe all of those "reports" that say NJ wanted 10 first round picks. I don't really care.

But from where we stand now, there was never a single chance for Denver to trade Melo away. Denver didn't get greedy at all, I'm sure they would have shipped Melo's *** out the second Melo agreed to a long term deal.

Well i know MELo dont want to go to NJ cuz he would of sign that long term deal a long time ago. Now Denver have to deal on the bulls or knicks terms now. And pick which one they consider the better deal. Knicks will try to go with wilson, gallo, douglas or Randolph. The Bulls will go with Deng , gibson, 1st pick, and some another player. To me Melo have a way better chance to win a title in chicago than the knicks . Because in chicago they play def. And NY style aint going to bring u no damn championship.

First good move by the Russian.

They're better off with the cap space, young players and picks.

I'm actually pulling for them to get the first pick of the draft...they've earned it

Yeah man i think they should give Favors a chance to develop. Plus wait for CP3. Use those picks they have alot of 1st round picks.
